Hotels near Ellis Island New York

"We have stayed here multiple times on our frequent visits to NYC. This is becoming our favorite; especially with the Plaza closing for 4 years coming up. They really dominate in what we think are the three top characteristics of a great hotel- beautiful suite, premium location and great service. We haven’t tried the bar/restaurant but it looks fabulous. Cannot recommend this enough we just love it."

"I received excellent service from all departments and they anticipated my needs before I requested things. Definetly will stay again if ever in NY again"

"Just Amazing! I feel like this is a rare find in NYC. I will start with how amazing the staff was and how much they cared for us during our stay. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job when we were away and looking at fully stocked room again after you come walking around the city (tired) made our life easy. They even loaded the dishwasher while we were away. I can’t thank them enough for all they did. Room was very spacious and had a character to it. Location was just great with awesome...

"Amazing staff and attention to detail. Perfect location for a staycation. My dog’s leash broke and Catherine, one of the housekeepers noticed and had a leash ordered from the local Target for us! Talk about going above and beyond! I have never experienced that level of thoughtfulness from hotel staff. That kind gesture alone will make me return. Thank you for a great experience all around. The location is perfect as well. Plenty to do in the area and all of the food options were excellent. Del...

"Amazing place - amazing service - great location"

"Conveniently located with plenty of attractions nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious as was all the food. The staff was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. This was an excellent choice.!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size well maintained, the kitchen area had everything you could need. Great location for getting around either in New Jersey or over to Manhattan"

"Nice quiet lounge on floor 6. Staff was busy but helpful. They held our luggage. The only real complaint I had was weak water pressure on floor 24 but the view was worth it. Second time I've stayed here and I love it."

"We stayed over the 4th of July and could not be happier. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Will be back next year and all future stays."

"I stayed alone for 5 nights, and I highly recommend Nester Finn! and I would stay here again next time I visit NYC. I was traveling for leisure, and I purposely wanted to stay out of the touristy areas, and this location was it. It was quiet at night and in the morning; I had no trouble sleeping. 1. The staff was friendly and efficient. 2. The room was well-maintained and cleaned. I felt comfortable, and I could see myself staying longer. 3. Excellent location! There are convenience stores,...

"Amazing experience. The location doesn’t get any better than this."

"Friendly service. Breakfast was excellent."

"The staff was extremely helpful. I came in early from a red eye and was able to get a room early. It made the beginning of the trip so much better. The room was very comfortable and the location was great near the subway. Will definitely come back"

"Great views and a nice breakfast"

"Great location!! "

"Great view of the river & Ellis Island from room 3414! "

"This was our second visit to The Frederick, and we were as satisfied if not more this time. Tidy room, nice staff. The breakfast is quite nice if you don't compare it to the big high end breakfast buffets. Not too many choices, and maybe missing some other bread type than just toast and crossiants, but overall very good. Very good scrambled eggs and sausage. The favorite is the plain yogurt with your own choices of fruits, nuts and honey."

"Great location incl close access to subway libes 1, 2 & 3. The room was small but smartly dedigned. Bathroom was well equipped. Tribecca is a great area incl easy access to shoping, dinning, psrks not least the Little Island in the Hudson. We will stay here agai."

"Good: Staff was great and suites were nice! Check in was quick and easy. Ferries to Manhattan, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island within walking distance. Plenty of good food within a five minute drive. Private parking that is come and go. Room for improvement: Top floor, so showers had low pressure, with a few dirty spots up top. I am a taller person so I often see dust & dirt higher on walls and ceilings. "
