"Parking was a bit of an issue, but manageable. Staff was excellent, both at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Don't miss the outdoor garden with the heated seats/bench, a lovely spot. The proximity to so many of the things which make SF special was amazing. Shopping, eats, bars (The Page and Gigis both stand out), Golden Gate Park, the fun SF vibe all made the trip and stay memorable. We'll be back to stay at the Metro! "

"Love love loved this hotel and its unique location! As Japan lovers, we really felt like we were in Japan with all the decor and design elements. Very comfortable rooms and setup, friendly staff and CONVENIENTLY located at the heart of Japan town, walking distance to Fillmore st with access to the bus and easy to get in and around town. Highly recommend!!!!"

"This place was very beautiful and we felt very secure with the lobby door only opening with your access key card or the receptionist opening it for you. Their valet was also very helpful, you just have to leave it parked in front of the hotel without blocking the bike lane and let the receptionist know you want valet parking. They are so helpful."

"We've stayed here a few times. Highly recommended. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Great location for food and walking to Union Sqaure shopping. It's easy to catch the trolley and get down to Fisherman's Wharf. "
