"This is an older hotel but has its charm. The staff are wonderful and the food is exceptional. The bar is a very friendly place with locals as well as travelers. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The High Range hotel was a great spot to stay if you are looking for a home base for hiking in the area. We found it to be very well-maintained and well-equipped for our needs. All the staff we spoke to were so friendly and so helpful. It’s also located just a short walk into Aviemore, which is super convenient if you want to eat out, pick up snacks, or just browse."

"Very nice room and cleaned well. Food in the restaurant was excellent at breakfast and dinner. Helpful staff. Quiet at night in room and comfortable bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"One of the best hotel experience we have ever had. The staff were incredible, the breakfast was lovely, the beds are very comfortable, and the property is stunning. Some of my favorite moments on our Highlands trip was sitting in the library in the afternoon, enjoying a cocktail or a tea and reading. Everyone at Muckrach made it feel like home. Special shoutout to Donald, Andrea, and Joanna for being so warm and welcoming. We will be talking about Muckrach for years to come. My husband and I...

"Very helpful staff, brilliant breakfast"

"Pool was lovely, breakfast had variety but underwhelming quality"

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful location"

"Excellent faciliities for children. Lodge was lovely and food was good "

"Good location in Aviemore and comfortable stay."

"The hotel is reasonably comfortable for its purpose. Somewhere to stay and plenty of facilities on site to keep children entertained. The room was reasonably clean but we made the mistake of patting one of the decorative pillows which produced a lovely cloud of dust. The hotel itself feels very dated with patches of repairs showing on doors and walls. The staff were fairly friendly and helpful when asked questions. Our son enjoyed the swimming pool and soft play which was all included."
