"Stayed here for 2 nights as heading to Alton Towers. 1 minute from A50 ( McDonald’s) and 4 mile easy drive to Alton Towers. Village location , quiet, large car park. We stayed in the Annexe room which was upstairs and had en suite, kitchenette, lounge area and double bed. Everything you could need in the room, hairdryer, fan, ironing board, fridge etc. Hosts were lovely and their property is very well presented with country house feel, low beams, fireplaces, flagged floors. "The stay overall was good, the staff were friendly. The property is old and a little run down. "

"Very friendly and efficient, nice welcome, lovely cool room, in this heat, very welcome Helpful bar staff, as I was on my own with my dog, the baan who took my order went above and beyond normal service. Great place for dogs as there's a small park area directly over the road."

"We will never stay onsite at Alton Towers again if this property is available! Closer to the park entrance than hotels, no need to battle the monorail crowds. Georgina the owner was extremely friendly & her communication for check in was excellent. The home itself was newly renovated to an exceptionally high standard. Perfectly clean with all the amenities provided for a short stay. Highly recommended and we will definitely be booking again if lucky to find it available."

"This is a great place to stay but the restaurant is primarily fish-based dishes. Rooms very nice, modern but charming. Staff great. Good bar. Nice outdoor space. Easy parking. There's a lot to like!"

"Another amazing stay at the Upper House …… superb breakfast, great atmosphere and another wonderful event"

"This hotel far exceeded our expectations it was more like a mini resort and wished we could have stayed longer than the 3 nights.. perfect for exploring the local attractions and only 40-45mins to Alton Towers. The room we had was a 2 bed apartment in the main building, which was much bigger than the photos. The amenities were awesome and there’s a range of free activities and entertainment that was put on whilst we were there. The staff were also amazing, we will be back for sure :-)"

"Can't fault anything about the stay. The cottage, the facilities, the cleanliness, the communication and the value were all absolutely impeccable."
