Being an island, Phuket is a popular yachting destination and its sheltered east coast is an ideal mooring location with a choice of major marinas available. As you might expect, Phuket’s marinas strive to meet the expectations of their regular visitors, so boat owners will find first-class facilities to meet all their needs.
Not that you can only approach the eastern coastline of Phuket from the south, as the route around the north of the island is blocked by Sarasin Bridge, which is too low for most boats to pass beneath. However, as you’ll see below, it’s worth taking the long way around these gorgeous shores.

Boat Lagoon Phuket is located in Koh Kaew, on the northern outskirts of Phuket Town. Fully operational since 1994, it was Phuket Island’s first marina complex. The marina is surrounded by a group of condominiums, the Boat Lagoon Resort, serviced apartments, restaurants, shops, and offices.
This circular 180-berth lagoon was originally a tidal flat at the head of a long, shallow, meandering creek named Klong Tha Rua. The marina is professionally run and features a wide range of services for maintenance and repairing boats up to 80 tons. From dry stacking to travel lift, yachters can find all the assistance required to take care of their boats at Phuket Boat Lagoon. Read more

Located at Laem Phrao, Phuket Yacht Haven Marina was completed in 1997 with 150 berths for vessels up to 200 feet. Yacht Haven can be accessed from the east on all tides, though deep draft vessels need to take additional care to follow the channel during low tides.
A great advantage of the Yacht Haven is its proximity to Phang Nga Bay, the major all-year-round yachting playground for Phuket. It’s also pretty close to Phuket Airport. On the shore is the Haven Restaurant and Bar, showers, lockers and bathroom facilities. The Yacht Haven also offers fuel, water, and provisioning services to set you up for you next adventure.
