Göteborg Landvetter Airport is an airport outside Gothenburg with domestic and international flights operating daily. If you’re traveling anywhere in West Sweden, then the chances are high that this is the airport you’ll be flying into. But the airport doesn’t have to be just a boring and obligatory means of getting from A to B. Between the months of September and April, the airport offers guided visits which, among other things, include a tour of the terminal building, information about the history of the airport, a bus tour of the airfield and a visit to the airport’s V.I.P. room.

You can fly to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport from cities such as London, Manchester and Edinburgh and there are several departures to Stockholm per day if traveling within Sweden. Regular buses operate between the airport and Landvetter Resecentrum in Härryda, and the trip to Landvetter takes just 20 minutes from central Gothenburg. Alternately you can book a taxi cab for greater flexibility. If you’re coming down by automobile there are express parking spots both indoors and outdoors where you can park right by the terminal building for pick-ups and drop-offs, as well as several long-term carparks. All of the carparks have CCTV monitoring at both the entrances and exits. Several automobile rental companies have offices here too, making it easy to pick up and drop off your rental automobile at the airport.
