Cancun International Airport

One of the busiest and largest airports in Mexico, Cancun International Airport is the primary airport to get to Puerto Morelos. It sits 21 km north of the small seaside town, as the crow flies. Cancun Airport features no less than 4 passenger terminals and 2 runways. Here, you’ll find a great range of dining and shopping options as well as facilities including free Wi-Fi, banking and currency exchange services. There are several transfer options to reach Puerto Morelos:

1. There’s no taxi rank at Cancun Airport.
2. The airport taxi services feature a good choice of vehicles from shareRide to taxiX to taxiXL to taxiSUV. The journey takes around 20-25 minutes. To get a better price, reservations must be made beforehand, online – expect to pay more if you buy your transfer on-site.
3. ADO runs comfortable 35-seater buses that can take you to Puerto Morelos ADO Terminal, 2 km from Puerto Morelos Town Square, in around 25-30 minutes. It’s the cheapest way to get there. Puerto Morales Town and the nearby Town Square – where most of the beachside hotels are located – are compact and can easily be explored on foot. Both hosts a good choice of dining, shopping and nightlife entertainment options. Note that walking at night in isolated areas is not recommended. For getting around Puerto Morelos, a good choice of public and private transport services is at hand.
