Andalusia

What you need to know before you go

Andalusia is an architectural utopia, with styles ranging from Gothic and Baroque to Spanish Renaissance. Many of the traditions associated with Spanish culture originated in Andalusia, from flamenco to bullfighting. It’s also a hub for nature lovers thanks to its rolling sierras, cliffs and idyllic beaches. But the region’s culture and history have been shaped by civilizations including the Romans, Byzantines and Muslim Moors.

Weather conditions remain favorable year-round. Even if you visit during winter, the beaches of Marbella, Malaga and the Costa del Sol are ideal places to soak up the sun. Head to Seville, the region’s capital, to capture photos of iconic landmarks, such as the Alcázar of Seville and the Plaza de España.
