The hotel itself was wonderful. I didn't feel that Riobamba itself was a very interesting town but it was a good stopover point on my travels.

Our stay at Turismo Comunitario Las Esperanza was unforgettable thanks to the incredible location, the incredibly kind hosts, and the unique opportunity to share some time with members of an indigenous community. We stayed in the traditional choza which was large, clean and comfortable. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious and well prepared. Staff was super friendly. Parking was easy and secure. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed.

Very nice hotel, though splurged as it was out of my budget. They do great work running a foundation to help people in Ecuador, so it was good to know that some of the money went to that. Not many options in town, and this was very nice, though so different from the surroundings of a humble little town.
