Al Belvedere is one of those places where you are torn between the urge to tell everyone how great it is and a somewhat selfish desire to keep it a secret. Everything about the hotel is great, from the location to the personnel to the food. We had an amazing time and will try to return one day.
The original room we booked was not satisfactory, we upgraded for a substantial increase.
There is no way of telling in advance of what the room will be really like.
Other than that, the staff were extremely friendly, it had an excellent restaurant, although the chef got carried away with the creativity a little so you may want to stick to the a la carte menu.
The island is beautiful and has great hikes and walks for the active traveller.

Nice, reasonably priced property. It is a bit of a walk uphill from the port area, so if you are someone who not wanting to do a lot of walking, you may look for something further down the hill. The breakfast was just okay. Not one of the better ones I had while in Sicily. The property owners and staff are friendly and offered suggestions for things to do.
