"We were here in the shoulder season and we had to check in at a sister hotel nearby. Nice breakfast on site. NO elevator. It had a 3rd floor american way of counting."
"We had a good 3 night's stay in Hôtel Le Louvre.
The welcome at reception was a bit odd as the receptionist asked us if we wanted a clean room! We replied of course. Yes, the room was clean so all was well.
The room had a good size but did not have much storage space. It had a Bosch coffee machine and 2 coffee pods per day were provided. The bathroom was fairly spacious and had had a bathtub and shower combination. For us having a bath is always a plus point.
The hotel is very central and close to a many of restaurants and cafes. A welcome pack of biscuits and 500 ml bottle of water was nice.
This is a reliable central 3 star choice in Cherbourg. If we would go back to Cherbourg, we would happily stay there again but we would also look at other options."

"Can’t check in before 1600. Your names and allocated rooms appear on a list. Reception shuts at 1600. If you have a problem with your room there is no one to take ownership of the problem and resolve it there and then. We had an upstairs studio apartment which had a very small bedroom and awkward to get into bed because of the sloping roof. On arrival the blinds wouldn’t shut and the bathroom sink plug wouldn’t pop up. Both issues were resolved the next day. We are getting on a bit and didn’t expect a 1st floor studio apartment with no outdoor space but we should have read the small print on the website. It was hard to differentiate between the rooms on the website and what each offered. You had to trawl through the rooms individually and see if the blurb had balcony or picnic area. Pool wasn’t open when we were there but the location was nice and convenient for the town, restaurants and the pleasant walk to Mount St Michel."
"We stayed here as it was near the ferry port and wanted it as a base. The staff were brilliant and had a good choice of food for breakfast. They booked us in to a restaurant 2 doors away which was amazing and we booked for the following night also. Will be returning back in August. ."
"This hotel is ideally located. Walking distance from the ferry terminal and the town, which boasts great cafe's, restaurants, shops and museums. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It would of been nice to of had a little bit more of a choice for breakfast and could of been a bit better priced. Otherwise, it is a great hotel, rooms are a good size, quiet and great views. We will be staying there again for sure."
