CLIPPER SHIPP BEACH MOTEL
10/10 Excellent
"This was our second year as a large family group taking up 4 rooms. 3 of those rooms were suites and 1 was a smaller room quite far away from the rest of us. I can’t speak about the smaller room as I don’t know, but we’re always happy with the suites- the view from the back patio is spectacular and we can all gather together on the back patio because they all connect. We always bring our own food and prepare in the kitchen and my only recommendation there would be for a bigger pot. Otherwise, there are all the basics you would need t"

"The staff was welcoming and kept everything stocked from toiletries to coffee, yogurt, and donuts each morning. The view of the water from our balcony was beautiful. There was a large group of people staying together right below us that were loud, but after they left it was relatively normal weekend noise level. The area around the hotel is very walkable or great for biking, and we really enjoyed the nice trail system they have around town. The pool looked clean but it is not heated, so we didnt go in. The beds were comfortable but a bit creaky."
Windsor House Inn

"Excellent. The only minor issue was a bit of noise other than that I would recommend staying here anytime."
Greenside motel
8/10 Good
"The room we stayed in had been completely remodeled. It still had the smell of fresh paint. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and such, with also a full-size fridge, and stove. The bathroom was really nice. The shower was a little bit small. The beds were comfortable. The only drawback was the door didn't feel very secure. We were never afraid but there was only one lock and not a deadbolt. We got lucky with a person being in the office when we arrived. We did notice others that came after us that there was no one in the office and they just had to check in online. It wasn't real close to town but it didn't take long to get anywhere in town."

"The staff was friendly and super helpful. Everything was clean but some may find the decor dated."
The Coach House

"I felt like I arrived in the house of an old relative. It was chock-a- block full of an amazing assortment of knickknacks which filled almost every corner. In fact, there was almost no space to put any of my things in my room. My hosts were two engaging gentlemen who were happy to visit with me while I had breakfast. The breakfast was extensive and was far more than I was able to eat. You should know that there was no TV, although the Internet was fine, and my host brought a carafe of cold water for me to have. I was a little put off by the fact that the soap in the dish by the sink had been used several times before, and the remote for the room heat pump was not clean. I also noticed that there was a very strong smell of wet dog when I first arrived. I didn’t notice it after a while, and I didn’t notice it again when I returned after being away all day. There are three adorable French bulldogs in residence, and they greeted me enthusiastically whenever I appeared. As I said earlier, it felt more like staying with a relative than booking a hotel room."

"This motel is very clean and the staff are so friendly. It is dated and the beds aren’t very comfortable, but it is worth the money I paid."
