"Beautiful looking old hotel with picturesque scenery especially the river Room was lovely size, bed comfy, hot shower Could do with tidying up the patio/garden area and the net curtain needs replacing. Wiping off muddy or coffee marks off the walls in the bedroom. TV needs tuning very difficult to source a channel. I did raise this issue but was told its always been that way! Staff were super friendly, the evening meal was beautiful. Great waitress service"

"We chose this hotel as the price was reasonable, and it looked a little quirky. We were not disappointed and loved our short stay. Parking and access to the room was thoroughly explained and easy, and the room was incredibly clean and cosy. We will definitely be staying here again!"

"For the price can't complain as you also get free parking. The room was clean and tidy with clear instructions as to how to access the room key. The restaurant is dog friendly also and food delicious. Just bear in mind it can be noisy in the room until the restaurant closes but not a massive issue."

"Really lovely stay after an event at the pub. Newly decorated room and new bathroom with a lovely shower. No jet bath as advertised as this was apparently removed when the bathroom was renovated. Very large and comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast too - with plenty of toast! Ran out of veggie sausages but I didn’t mind the extra hash browns which were amazing!"

"Thoroughly recommend. Lovely rural part of Devon, the hotel is set in its own well maintained grounds, which is excellent for dog walking, our room was clean and comfortable, as was the breakfast and dining area which were both well set out, with plenty of space to accommodate dogs. Food was great, varied and plentiful. All staff were polite, efficient, and attentive, which helped to create a pleasant and chilled atmosphere."
