Wonderful Stay at Maya Hotel Resort! I had an amazing experience at the Maya Hotel Resort during my 7-day stay. My first impression wasn’t the best, as we arrived at night, and I couldn’t see the ocean because the tide was out. We stayed only one night on a quick pit stop to Zanzibar on our honeymoon inbetween safari and Seychelles. If we had to do it over again we would have spent all of our time in Zanzibar here with a quick day trip to stone town. Siriak is a very attentive but not intrusive host. A beautiful white sandy beach and well maintained hotel is the core of this lush resort. Supported by a very friendly staff and competent management guarantees a great experience. It's close to the beach, but everything around the hotel is under construction. Make sure to ask your way to the beach, it's well worth it. I found the staff to be kind and informative. This is a very good value for the prices and there are a few nice restaurants around the hotel like Al Casbah

The room in the wilderness

Amazing service, and nice staff. It felt like a community and I was able to meet people from all around the world and we all started hanging out and doing activities together. I will definitely visit again.

I don’t think there’s a better place to stay in Pingwe. This place has the most dreamy views you’ll ever experience in Zanzibar. The staff is impeccable! The bed and breakfast was just perfect. Honestly, everything in me wants to gate keep this place! I’d also want to share more but I also don’t want to give away too much to maintain the pleasant element of surprise. Please, trust your gut like I did and book. Best decision I’ve ever made on a hotel.

On arrival we were greeted by the manager Tony who was great throughout the trip. The check-in was hassle free. The property is nice and upgraded. There is minor renovations going on but without any inconvenience to guests. The resort was very private and feels like you have the entire staff and property all to yourself with minimal visibility of other guests except for the dining area. Rori Villas exceeded my expectations. From check in to delicious breakfast and meals everything was great. The villa was perfect especially the outdoor area and personal pool right near the beach.

We had a great stay at the Sands. The staff were amazing, from Mr. Ally the GM to the executive chef and the cooks like Thomas who took care of us. The food was first class - this goes for breakfast right through to dinner. Amazing food and fantastic service. The beach was beautiful, clean and safe. We could not have asked for more. Even the Masai security guards were great! We loved it. Would definitely recommend the Sands in Zanzibar. We'll be back.
