Staff was friendly

We had not stayed at a Hawthorn Suites before this trip. We are plaanning to use Hawthorn Suites for futere extended stay trips. Staff, facility and services exceeded our expectations/

We stayed the night with our cats on a pit stop for our cross-country move, and it went really smoothly. Super friendly service and easy check in/out experience. Free breakfast was great!

Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

The staff is unfailingly pleasant and helpful. I honestly can't imaging a better hotel staff unless they were paying ME for the trip instead of the other way around. Whenever I asked for help, they would stop what they were doing and I felt like I was a visiting dignitary. Shopping was close by (24 hour Wal-Mart was a few blocks away with everything you can possibly need). I’m originally from the area, but moved away when I went to college. We try to come back at least once a year to visit family still in the area. We ALWAYS visit Oglebay Park, but this was my first time staying at Wilson Lodge. I loved it! Oglebay has grown significantly since I was little with various activities for kids to enjoy. Very clean and pleasant hotel for a reasonable rate. Convenient to all local attractions. We followed the advice of the staff and had our dinner at a local pub Generations which had absolutely amazing food! Beds were very comfortable.

The room temperature was set at 42. We could see our breath when we entered the room. We removed the second beds coverings after turning up heat, put on the first bed and proceed to lay under all bedding with coats on till room warmed up

Super friendly staff, clean rooms, and good entertainment. Food is not bad. Close to downtown.

Price was good, pretty clean except lot of stains on furniture and through the hotel. Pet friendly so that may be why. No staff keeping things clean that I saw. Hospitality coffee was cold and messy area. Everything was clean in room, except for stains. Everything else was good.

Close to meet people in the night life.l was able to walk to the park.

The employees were lovely! I really enjoyed the free dinner they did on the Wednesday I was there, the green beans were the best I’ve ever had! The hotel was clean every time I stayed and I’ve never any complaints!

One of the best hotels we have been to. The pool was so warm which we liked and some fun pool sports/toys to use. I think they could use more garbage cans like in the bathrooms or one large one in the common area. There were only 2 small garbage cans for the whole suite.

The hotel was wonderful! Very clean and inviting. The staff at the desk were really very friendly and engaging. The room service was excellent. The breakfast area service was just great. Highly recommended!

This hotel is very good. Well maintained and comfortable. Very comfortable beds and very clean. The staff very helpful and breakfast good. I will stay there again.

The hotel looked clean, but... the bed mattress was very broken down. They definitely needed upgrading and the room smelled musty.
