"I'd happily stay again at the Hotel Queen Elizabeth in Gödöllo, which is essentially a suburb of Budapest, Hungary. Everything was great with one exception, which was the temperature. Even though it was cold outside much of the time, the hotel was too warm for my taste and the thermostat in my room seemed to do nothing. Eventually, I just opened the window to get come cool fresh air. At least it was possible to open the windows, that's often not possible. Overall, the hotel building is charming, everything worked, the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent, and served in a beautiful restaurant. Hungary is a beautiful safe country with a fascinating history and Gödöllo is full of pleasant polite people. It was particularly lovely when I was there at the end of October, with the many trees showing autumn colors. The whole experience there was good enough to make me want to go back and take my wife."

"Wonderful in every way. The location with its lovely paths through the woods, the salt fields and ponds. It's a long walk to the pools and the grounds are closed when the pools close. The buffet's are varied, fresh and delicious. We had a rental car and parked along the road up. There is also a parking garage. We visited the surrounding charming towns. Great wineries everywhere. Staff was helpful, yet not everyone spoke English (even a little) and thus there was a communication barrier at times. Had to pay for every little thing outside the half-board."

"Stayed here 22/8/26 to 27/8/26 visiting family We received a warm welcome and given advice on facilities. We booked a superior room through Expedia, and stayed in room number 112 breakfast and evening meal included however we like to eat out. We did try evening meals twice it was ok. Rooms were clean but missed the cleaning morning after our arrival. Even though we put the sign for cleaning on the door. I don’t understand this when plenty of staff were around the corridor. Just to be aware, I took a bottle of water I’d paid for out off the mini bar in the room and took it into the dining room, one off the waiters sighed a receipt to say I had bought it in the restaurant. I showed the receptionist with dark hair I don’t know her name? our signatures on our cards that didn’t match the signature on receipt. who took our payment for lots off items from the mini bar, main bar, and restaurant. So we wasn’t charged. The morning we left we were charged for a Coke. We’d bought a large bottle of Coke from the shop and left half a bottle in the room. Well when I questioned this with the receptionist, the receptionist (with dark hair) who we paid our last bill was stood in reception and questioned when I mentioned we hadn’t had the coke and left half of a bottle from the store. She pulled a face and spoke to her colleague. Well we just paid for the coke I just couldn’t be bothered to say anymore. So just be aware I’m a honest person I was absolutely disgusted."

Royal Club Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent and peaceful location. Spa and amenities are within nice standard, just too bad that you have to pay extra for using sauna. Cleaning is a bit questionable as during our 4 days and 3 nights stay, nobody changed our bedsheets or towels. Also, the mattress was perhaps old and too used, lumpy and deep in the middle which gave me backaches. Overall, happy with our stay."
