It’s the ultimate hideaway. The resort offers endless beaches, beautiful nature all around and it feels like you are a guest at a private estate. The staff, the food, just everything was perfect.

This was a fantastic find for our second honeymoon. A quiet, secluded place with a beautiful beach, infinity pool, several jacuzzis in breathtaking locations on the cliffside, really excellent food, and wonderful service. If you're looking for a party, you won't find it here! But if you're looking for a place to relax deeply while surrounded by beauty, this is it.

I have looked at all the hotels in Barra and this is by far the best one. Its right on the beach, you sleep with the sound of the waves, the rooms are clean, beds comfy and its great value for beachfront. And the owner works miracles! I had brilliantly managed to leave my passport purse with phone in the airport taxi that brought us here. Moment of panic at check-in !!! We took the bus from PV to Melaque, hoping that our stay at Star of the Sea would salvage a vacation that had been anything but restful....from the moment we were picked up at the bus station by Eileen until we left, 4 days later, we were treated like royalty! Super clean and inviting. Bungalow has the basics - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes. Property is constantly cleaned. Courteous staff. Great location. Beach towels provided. Balcony has great view. Would come again.
