East Grand Bahama Hotels

We arrived and everything was ready and the apartment was beautiful. We loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The rooms were decorated very nicely. The kitchen had everything you would want. It even had baking pans!! We had a lovely stay. When we walked into the unit there was a personal welcome with our name. Made us feel very special. The landscaping was nicely done. My sister & I treated ourselves to a pre-Christmas get-away in Freeport, Grand Bahamas. Everyone @ Bell Channel Inn was SO pleasant & accommodating. Liz(owner)& Helen(front desk clerk)greeted us. The price tells you that this is not the island's grand-lux accomodations, but it's beautifully situated occupying the end of a peninsual. Three nice pools, one is a quite pool towards the rear, one's heated (never checked if it is) and one has a hut-tub and good quality pool-side restaurant and lively bar. Breakfast buffet in the new conference wing, offered all the typical choices - and even had an omelette station. Same place had a lunch buffet with a quite nice salad bar that also offered...

The room was very comfortable with high end furnishings. The resort is adjacent to the marina and the Galley Restaurant and a sports bar. Food is excellent and drinks cold. Highly recommend

I stayed at Ocean Reef from July 27th to Aug 5th 2015 with one of my best girlfriends. We arrived at about 1:45 pm Monday. We were able to check in immediately and had to leave a 200 hundred deposit. The staff was very courtesy, professional and helpful, they sent someone to help us unload our rental car to take our stuff to our unit. We were here for only one night, but I had stayed here several years ago as well. The hotel is on a lovely beach; there is a nice pool as well, though the pool is fairly shallow so not good for a real swim. But the ocean is certainly good for a swim!! There is a frequent shuttle to take you to Port Lucaya, and also a shuttle to the supermarket. Staff is pleasant and helpful, and try to accommodate your needs. The room we had was a one bedroom suite, with a sofa bed in the living room. Very roomy...

We enjoyed the room over the water and the distance from any heavy vehicular traffic. The grounds near the sea were well kept and we enjoyed a beer at the grotto bar.

The Royal Islander was a wonderful place to stay...the staff was very friendly and helpful when you had questions....The room was super ...very large...pool was exceptional with great landscaping...the room was clean and well kept...Had a slight problem with sugar ants in the basin in the bath...no biggey , because it is the tropics.... The staff was always concerned with you confort.... Two things that was not the hotels fault....Expedia promoted this hotel with an International Bazzar across...

The entire staff at the Marlin was in a word "Phenomenal"! Traveling the entire Caribbean for over 50 years, we find the Bahamians the most friendliest people ever! We love the interactions with them as they always are quick with a smile, and making you laugh. A special "thank you" to K,C. who works the front gate security as I had the privilege of talking to and learning so much more of the history of Grand Bahama Island! Thank you all so much, we will return.
