La Bougainvillea was a random choice, but we are so happy we chose to stay there. It is a relatively new venture with an eye for detail and and an engaging staff. The location is mid-point on Eleuthera and the beach is absolutely spectacular. If you are looking to get off the grid and unwind, this is the spot. perfect type of vacation of you want to get away and relax...its certainty quieter than say a Nassau vacation but very enjoyable. the room are individual bungalows. there arent many, perhaps 20 or so and most looked brand new. our room had a direct view to the ocean (Caribbean side)..the beach is on the Atlantic side. they provide you with a golf cart to ride around the resort and to/from the beach. restaurant was good quality and many healthy options. staff was very friendly. the gave plenty of...

John is an amazing person and very warm host who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. From taking us into town on our first night for some groceries to giving us a lift to the nearest beach. He also directed us to a friend who we were able to rent a great car from. Our second stay at Tingum Village, our first one was perfect and we had to return. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms are nice, and each room as its own unique island décor. Great place to stay on the island. Only 7 rooms, but they were large, clean, well maintained. Only negative was that they do not accept AMEX and this was a business trip, so had to use my personal CC.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Would recommend some signage on front road.
