Central Kalimantan Hotels

A VERY unique and comfortable one night stay before we headed onto the 3 day orangutan jungle cruise. This place was personally built like a robinson caruso-like habitat. Room was clean, comfortable, a.c., quiet (aside from local mosque prayer broadcast), and the clientele were interesting world travelers. Great home made Meals were available as well upon request. Excellent staff, very hospitable. Front desk was very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant offered a big breakfast buffet which was very good. Restaurant staff were extremely nice. Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay.

Excellent staff. Basic breakfast but it’s free. Limited options. Staff was helpful and kind all around. I don’t know what is on the second floor but furniture was always being dragged on the floor or moved at all sorts of time in the morning and night. Maybe construction? But lovely stay.

The hotel is excellent for a budget hotel. I did not personally stay in it. I booked for my mother in law and father in law. They said the hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The only problem was the room they stayed was in was a bit small.

The Swiss-Belmont in Banjarmasin is a great base camp for exploring the local floating markets. Very helpful staff (our tour guide did not show up and the hotel staff quickly arranged for an alternate boat for us). Restaurant was good and while they didn't have a full bar, they did serve beer

Good place to stay; nice menu selections in restaurant.

Room cleaned daily and breakfast every morning with different food but also maintaining some choices.
