Kumage District Hotels

An extraordinarily blissful stay in this gorgeous secluded boutique resort. Wonderful attention to detail both in the rooms and the delicious, creative food. My daughter is vegetarian and eating in Japan has been a challenge, but the chef came up with delicious food for her at every meal! Staff were all delightful and genuinely cared that we had everything we could possibly need. I especially want to mention Ryoko, who raises the level of the hotel even higher.

Beautiful property. Breakfast and dinner buffets were gourmet and luxurious. Large, airy rooms and beautiful views of the southern part of Yakushima. Onsen facility was very nice as well.

Amazing cottage set in a beautiful location with views of the surrounding mountains and forests that reminded us of Hawaii. The property features an outdoor onsen, a well equipped kitchen and is comfortably furnished throughout. Hana Mana is the perfect getaway for a couple or family visiting Yakushima.

Very nice Japanese style accommodation, spacious, comfortable, and well maintained property. Very courteous and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I felt like I was in a cabin and had a porch to sit outside and drink coffee in the morning. There is a bus stop close by. I did walk to Anbo, it was about 35 minutes. The gentleman who owned the property was very accommodating and spoke English. I liked the wood beams and chandelier.

I can't say enough how helpful and kind the hotel staff was. Our room was in need of updating however everything was very clean.

I ended up with a sinus infection the day we arrived. After a horrible fever and 24 hours of worrying i would need to end my trip early, i decided to request assistance from the front desk in making an appointment with the local hospital. After not being avle to get a taxi the Vice Manager of the hotel drove me in his personal vehicle and waited 45 minutes when the Dr came out. Amazing service. The hotel was also very clean and food was always incredible.
