"As the name implies, set in Douro valley with great view of the river below. We used as a rest stop, with no touring. Beautiful location with nice sunrise and sunsets. Nice room, but steps to and from meals and pool. Best be fit to enjoy the area."

"This was the most memorable and beautiful lodging of our entire 3 wk Portugal stay! The Quinta is beautiful in every way and the staff could not be more accommodating. The view of the Duoro Valley and river is magnificent, pictures don’t do it justice. there is a stunning infinity pool and breathtaking views everywhere! The rooms are small but stylish and lovely with outdoor seating. Great Restaurant , wine tasting and boat tour (for extra charges) Don’t hesitate to book this stay. We hope to return someday. "

"We enjoyed this hotel. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the Douro River. Dinner in the luxury dining room was excellent but expensive. Bar food was good and reasonably priced. The pool was nice. We enjoyed the town with winery visits and boat trips. The only really odd thing was that the bottom of the shower door does not come to the floor and water flooded the bathroom floor. This happened to our friends also, so it was not just our room. You learn to stand in one small spot to wash. Odd, I would say. "

"I can’t say enough good things about the family that runs Casa Dona and the property. They went above and beyond for our stay. From recommendations on what to do, traditional Portuguese dinners being served; cooked by the family and when my wife and I couldn’t get a taxi in the morning they drove us to the train station. The property was beautiful, clean and quiet. "

"beautiful property 15 minute walk from pinhao. Wonderful restaurants on site. If you need a taxi seems to be difficult to get and we had to walk there. Staff booked taxi for the next day to get back to pinhao but were reluctant to do so - suggested we call them!! "

"I stayed at Quinta de São Luís (Vine House) and I have to say, this was hands down the highlight of my entire trip to Portugal. I’ve traveled quite a bit, but I had never seen anything this beautiful. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. My room was stunning — incredibly spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the most breathtaking views. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary little bottles of wine in the room. The service was exceptional. Ana, in particular, went above and beyond to make my stay special. She personally recommended a nearby vineyard where I had an unforgettable lunch — the food was absolutely delicious. I also had the chance to do a wine tasting tour, which was such a fun and memorable experience. The wines were fantastic! This place truly feels like a 5-star experience in every way. If I could give it more than five stars, I absolutely would. My only regret is that I stayed just one night — I wish I had planned to stay longer during my nine days in Portugal. I’m already dreaming about coming back. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, stunning scenery, incredible wine, and outstanding service, look no further.
