"We had a brilliant stay at villa. Some bits a bit tired but very clean and comfortable. Staff was there at arrival and check out. The pool are was great with table chairs sunbeds and sofa. Having gate to beach area was excellent and restaurants and pubs not far. "

This is a wonderful place for a dream vacation. Unfortunately, we messed up our dinner choices for New Years and a few other nights. We didn’t realize that the Hotel had a sister property with more restaurants. We stayed at the better property but I wish that we had known about the sister property for New Years and more restaurant choices
Probably the best hotel I have stayed in in Europe. It was beautiful and easy to get to other places from. Maria and the other staff were amazing and accommodating as well. Highest level of excellence across every category. Staff is not just friendly but very well trained and you can tell the extra care taken in recruiting the best staff. The quality of the rooms and the facilities were top notch. Excellent food in the restaurants on the facility, pools, spa and gym all brand new post the 45 mil euro rennovation. Highly recommend.
Property is absolutely beautiful and service is very good. Staff assisted us on many matters. Even after we checked out and ran into some issues with local rental car company, due to language barriers, we reached out to La Zambra for help and they tried their best. It is conveniently located in the middle, Malaga to the east, Marbella to the west and Ronda to the North. Mijas is 20 minutes drive up the hills.
I stayed at El Pilar last March and returned for one night because of the service, location and beautiful property. The front desk is always helpful and always wear a smile. The recognized I had been there in March, so check in was easy. The roof top bar is awesome as is a light breakfast downstairs.

The place is amazing, the old town is one of spain's marbles and the port is just a 10 min walk close to the hotel are exceptional restaurants, the beach is very close as well.
