If being by the water is a major draw, North Captiva Island Beach is a spot you might want to check out, located 4.2 mi (6.8 km) from central Captiva. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Cayo Costa Beaches and Alison Hagerup Beach Park.
Our first visit to 'the Tween' -- and we'll definitely be coming back! This place has everything: beach, pool, two restaurants (one fancy and one 'pubby'), boat rentals, kayaks, small cottages and moderately priced rooms -- either ocean or bay views! Very satisfied (would get a 5 stars on room comfort if the pillows were better, but next time will bring our own).
This is a wonderful place, the adult pool was priceless because of so many children. Food was exceptional for a resort, the only real gripe is the drink prices. 9 bucks for a draft Modelo in a plastic cup. I had two mixed drinks and the wife two Mocktails and it was $60 dollars. I get it, its a resort but they are making a killing off the booze, I noticed many folks just brought their own because of this. Lower the price and you will sell more.
Nice property - we had a corner unit with a king bed and fold out queen bed. Nice spacious room. Close to the tiki island bar and beach walkway. The little bar had great food and drinks.
Everything was great! The staff was pleasant and always willing to help. Very clean, and perfect views. Our anniversary spent here was the best one yet... We will be returning!!!
Our time at South Seas was great! Yes they are still rebuilding some areas and adding on more amenities, but we still had a great time. We stayed at a beach villa which was i. Pristine condition and very comfortable for our family of four. The marina side pools and slides were very fun and in great shape. The service we recieved was top notch. We were also provided a smores kit upon check in for the kids to use at their fire pit at night. Highly recommend this resort on Captiva.
I was very happy to see a nice and clean room with all the necessary things (small fridge, microwave, keurig coffeemaker, hair dryer, etc) It was clean and pretty. It has a balcony with a couple of chairs, the mattress and linens were cozy!! The pool area was nice too… Will definitely come back
The property was in the middle of a remodel so there were only 5 rooms available which made it very quiet. The unit was very clean. The amazing thing about the property was the canal in the back. The manatees were swimming around everyday. They were awesome to see. One evening there were dolphins playing in the canal. There was a great restaurant within walking distance that had great food, drinks and live music every night.
The property is brand new. Everything in the room was brand new, clean. The kitchenette was perfect. A good-sized fridge with freezer. Bed was comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. We truly enjoyed our stay.
It was an amazing Stay, the rooms were incredible and beautiful, the location amazing!!! The Inn was very very good, all around, God willing we will definitely come back!!!
The cottage was clean and updated with everything you need, toiletries, kitchen pans and utensils, a full beach cart with everything needed for the beach. I took a few naps in the sun in the hammock. The location is great, an easy block to the beach. The only thing we had difficulty with was the gas grill did not heat up sufficiently to cook burgers. It was an incredible relaxing place for a family vacation, highly recommend it
My boyfriend & I stayed for 8 days & 7 nights....The hotel was very nice & the beach was amazing and only steps away from the hotel center. We loved using the kayaks & paddleboards that are included in the stay! We were able to get fresh towels for the beach as often as we liked. Staff was very helpful! newly re-opened, clean, staff was fantastic, pleasant, social, housekeepers were excellent, (thank God for English to Spanish app). clean up from hurricane still going on so beach a little noisy but still relaxing. didn't like that there wasn't a safe in room, beds and linens very comfortable, breakfast was fresh/hot/good selection, great coffee. good company with a parrot named Coco lol. would stay again and recommend
