"It has an ‘artful’ flare and a hint of nostalgia about the place whilst remaining up to date modern in facilities whilst all the staff were most efficient and delightful in character, highly recommend a stay here (!!)."
"A beautiful quiet location with lovely garden's and lakes.
Delicious breakfast and pool area.
Its a really nice place to stay and everything in Perth is very close by.
Affordable prices too.
Free Parking."
"I had a wonderful stay at the OBH. The staff are brilliant and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. You are right opposite Cotesloe beach which is stunning. Right next door it a cool and chilled out pub with great food. Around the corner is a laundramat if you are staying longer. Very accessible to Perth centre and Freo, or further afield if you rent a car..
I enjoyed it so much that I have already booked my flight and accommodation there for next year (Feb 2027).
Shout out to...
"Excellent service.
The property is secure and set amongst a very beautiful location.
A walk to Matilda bay is a MUST when you visit.
Sunrise is magical. 🐬🌅🐬"
"Excellent standard of accommodation within easy access of Perth and Fremantle.
Part of UNI accommodation but very quiet in general.
All Staff Lovely and Helpful."
"The young lady on reception was extremely pleasant and very helpful regarding parking. She was very knowledgeable about the area which was very helpful.
The hotel is in a good location, very happy with our stay, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re passing through"

If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to South Trigg Beach located 8.2 mi (13.2 km) from central Perth. Catch the sunset by the shore at Trigg Beach, just a short walk away.
If want to top up your tan, you might want to head out to Bennion Beach, located 8.6 mi (13.8 km) from central Perth. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Trigg Beach and Mettams Pool, both within a short walk.
Commune with nature and explore Trigg Bushland Reserve located 7.9 mi (12.7 km) from central Perth. Want to stretch your legs some more? Head to Charles Riley Memorial Reserve and Trigonometric Park, both nearby.
Had a wonderful stay, upon check in with Chelsey who was very sweet and patient and just overall very accommodating. Also Andrew, thank you so much for helping me choosing rooms. Btw a tip for everyone, if you want the ocean view rooms, you MUST pay for the upgrade, is worth it! Or else you won't get it. Hotel is near a nice Boardwalk full of activities and shops. It's a bit far from the city and taxis can be expensive going in to the city. No on site gym but not necessary when you can run along...
The staff is friendly and helpful! The breakfast is delicious and is served by the poolside with sunshine and a golf course. The most amazing thing is the greetings from the kagoroos on the hotel's golf course. The restaurant offers live music and wonderful choices of food. The room is clean and spacious. Also, it is close to Perth’s attractions! The hotel is suitable for families and business travelers.
This is a relatively new, beautifully furnished hotel in a central location on the Swan River next to the University of Western Australia (UWA). Our room faced the river, had a nice balcony, well-designed space, plenty of storage, and a nice large bathroom. The open-air hallways in our wing provided plenty of fresh air. Breakfast options were numerous and tasty, though the dining area seemed understaffed over the long Easter weekend. Free access to the UWA gym across the street was a welcome...
I had a wonderful stay, in large part because I was able to secure a room on a high floor, where the view over the park is spectacular. The rooms on the lower floors are a bit noisier and do not have such great views. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating and the neighborhood was lovely. I will definitely book here when I next return to Perth.
Beautiful room, we loved the balcony overlooking the marina and bathtub! One issue we had which was a bit of a bummer is the hotel lost power about an hour into our stay, so we spent the rest of the night in the dark because we were offered either just stay with no power and no refund, or leave to go somewhere else with a refund, but there were no other places available that late in the day.
Kitchen utilities so you could cook yourself.
Coffee machine in the lobby, free apples.
Red cat is just stone throw away to the city, Watertown is a block away that you definitely want to visit, and there is the yellowcat.
Only thing they could improve is to offer late check out.
Stayed for two nights, and it was wonderful! The room was cozy, bed was comfy, and the buffet breakfast every morning was delicious. Huge props for the amount of gluten free options available! Hazel and the staff were also very lovely and helpful.
