We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

Great hotel! Clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the AC worked great! The rooms are European, so if you're an American traveler, keep that in mind. They weren't as tiny as most European hotels, but they were on the smaller side. The hotel fridge is very shallow, not big enough for leftovers, only enough depth for cans or water bottles. They also don't have a microwave, so if you're planning on having leftovers, maybe don't. Good location for public transportation if you want to...

Hotel was in fabulous location just off Marienplatz. It was cute, had little pastries on check in. The breakfast was good and had a nice breakfast room. Perfect base to explore central Munich and super close to U and S bahn stop. Sad I only stayed one night. Would definitely stay longer in the future.
Great hotel, rooms so nice. Roof top bar was great and view was unbelievable. Service outstanding, didn’t hesitate to hold our bags or accommodate early check-in for tired travelers. We are a family with 3 kids and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Very walkable area.

Rooms clean & spacious. Close to where we wanted to visit. Not close to city center. Staff accommodating, except the front desk receptionist, Lisa, she was awesome. She was the best welcome we could possibly expect.
