"This was the best stay! Everything was so clean and welcoming. We will definitely be back. The neighborhood was pretty and peaceful. Fully stocked kitchen and coffee was great! Thanks so much for a wonderful time!"
"This hotel is a great option if you do not want to stay downtown. The Edgewater and Andersonville areas nearby have many great bars and restaurants as well as unique shopping. "
"Perfect location! Felt like we were local in this wonderful neighborhood, but just a quick walk to the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago. Claridge House had everything we needed."
"The hotel is located in a prime Chicago Gold Coast location. A few blocks from Gibsons and Rush street and 2 blocks off the lake for beautiful walks. The rooms, although a bit dated, the cleaning staff did an amazing job ensuring everything was very clean. Customer service, the bar, valet and front desk staff were very accommodating.
This hotel has everything you need without the outrageous price tags of other Chicago hotels. I will be staying here again.
Wonderful trip!"
"The hotel was clean. The staff was amazing. The location is also great. I love being right on the water. Perfect for a stroll outside on the boardwalk."
"Perfect location for touring Chicago by foot, tube or renting a car. The front desk provided recommendations that all
Were 5 star! Well done! The rooms were clean and perfect to rest up for our days on the town!"
"It’s in a great spot to get to everything. We walked allot more than I thought we would only because things were closer than I had originally figured and the walks were enjoyable. There are so many restaurants within walking distance. Even at night this area felt safe"
"Very close to Grant Park, Soldier Field, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, and Northerly Island. Great area if Chicago. Can walk almost anywhere from here. May need to snag a ride to Navy Pier. Didn’t spend much time in the Hotel. Staff were nice. Hotel is on the older side, but if you spend that much time in it, then why are you in Chicago!"
"The hotel staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is showing it's age. Our room had a portable floor a/c unit. The window was closed shut with black electrician's tape. The hot and cold water knobs were loose and came off easily. Even with these small issues, the hotel is still one of a kind. The view can't be beaten. The front desk staff went out of their way to answer our questions."
"Love the Victorian vibes this place gives, as well as the updated modern rooms while still giving us that beautiful space to sleep in. Would recommend!"
"clean, and even though it faced the building, it provided good privacy with no outside sightlines while still letting in natural light.
The location in Printers Row is wonderfully quiet, yet super convenient. There are Divvy bike rental stations and an CTA Orange Line station within short walking distance, making getting around the city a breeze. Highly recommended!"
"Loved this hotel, and would definitely stay here next time we come to Chicago. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location was convenient, on the Magnificent Mile, walking distance, or a short bus ride to Millennium Park, the Art Institute, Symphony Hall, Riverwalk, the Lyric Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Art, Navy Pier and great restaurants. The hotel restaurant was great, food well prepared and well presented. The staff was friendly, professional and always helpful....
"Great hotel room appointed well with two areas to eat and a great 4th floor rooftop bar with an interesting design. Happy hour is a must if you are on a budget. Service was top end while I was there and the room was very clean.
One problem; My bed was not good. It felt not only lumpy but also sagged a bit in the middle. This one drawback from an otherwise great two day stay.
murfman"
"A convenient place to stay near N Michigan Ave.
Staff were pleasant and helpful- top to bottom.
Breakfast was great! Nice steakhouse across the street."

This lovely hotel is nestled in a neighborhood that is quiet and very upscale. There are several restaurants in the area as well as a bar and restaurant (serving limited light fare) in the hotel lobby. For our purposes, it was located and very walkable.
Our room was spacious and very well appointed. We stayed in a deluxe king room that offered a sitting area as well as a sleeping area. The decor was understated but elegant and comfortable. the bathroom featured a walk in shower which we prefer...
This was the fourth time I’ve stayed here, and I’ll keep coming back. The location is very handy for families of Columbia College, the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and it’s priced well.
Small, quaint hotel in the heart of Oak Park. Well maintained and very clean and neat. The Italian restaurant, La Notte was fantastic, both in food and service. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Very pleased would recommend to anyone planning a visit in downtown and looking for a place too stay at a reasonable price love the fact parking is available on site for 39 tax might be a little pricey but it’s way cheaper than most places in down town I payed a total of about $150 including the parking for the night the only thing I did not like was that you can’t control the central air settings it’s controlled by the staff so I had too call a few time about it being cold so they decided too...
Had a very good experience staying at this hotel. Room was clean, quiet, staff was friendly, location close to many restaurants and close to Michigan Ave. Also their breakfast was very good. Really a great hotel, will be staying here again.
The Drake is an awesome place to stay downtown. Right next to the water (where you can rent bikes and go for a ride along the beach) and next to all shopping and food districts. Perfect stay.
We chose this hotel last minute and we were nervous because there were a couple recent negative reviews. There were 4 of us in our family and couldn't find anything negative to say about the hotel. The only disappointing fact was that the rooftop bar was not open but that wasn't a big deal. Everything was very clean. I actually wiped the floor in our room with a wet, white wash cloth, it was clean! There was no hair in the bathroom from a previous guest. There was no hair in the bed from a...
Three day trip to Chicago. The hotel was a great central location in downtown and a 10 to 15 minute walk to most sites, Navy Pier, River walk, Michigan Avenue, all the great pizza places. The hotel was smaller compared to most which we loved. Room was updated, bathroom very nice and king sized bed very comfortable. We used the blue line to get to and from O’Hare via Clark station (a 12 minute walk from hotel.). We used the red line via Chicago station (10 min walk from hotel) to go see a Cubs...
The hotel was great. I was placed in a room. Where constructoon was going on outside. I had planned to sleep in, but at 715 the sound of a jack hanmer woke me up.
I enjoyed my stay here. I didn’t get a chance to experience breakfast or the pool, but it's nice that they're avaliable. I loved the area, very easy to walk for food and entertainment. The bed does need replacing as it makes a squeaking noise when you sit on it and the mattress wasn't that comfortable. Even with that, I would stay here again.
Convenience store across street, lots of restaurants, Dunkin' donuts and coffee across street, boat architecture tour nearby, riverwalk nearby, several museums nearby and Grant Park with Cloud Gate walking distance.
Arlo Chicago is in the perfect location for walkable access to so many Chicago sights, excellent food (please try the Broken English Taco Pub around the corner!), bars, shopping, etc. It was also very conveniently located to access the L when we needed to get to other parts of the city!
The staff was BEYOND accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and exceeded all comfort expectations!
I also highly recommend the lobby bar for a great happy hour spot!!!
Everyone at this hotel...
The staff was amazing and the room was super spacious and clean!! The best layout of a room for a family of 3 who enjoy separate beds and a little privacy. We had the room with two queen beds and a sofa. Amazing view of chicago from the sky deck and the pool was a nice temp! Breakfast had great options and was delicious! Rosemary seasoned potatoes and captain crunch caught my eye! The elevator was a bit hard to navigate at times as you need a key. But great safety feature so no complaints!...
