My boyfriend and I stayed for Valentine’s Day and upon arriving we were greeted with kindness and 2 glasses of champagne! Check in was perfect. The room was perfect. Definitely one of my favorite hotels for sure. We also ate at my favorite restaurant right 10 steps across the street! We could literally see the entrance right from our room window. It was a beautiful experience here.
Amazing hotel;especially for the price. Upon pulling up to The Godfrey we were met by the parking valet and doorman who helped us with our luggage. They were friendly and helpful with the Porter explaining if we needed any help with advice, etc he was available. The Valet advised us of the parking procedure and the cost (we knew it was an expensive $60/day but were not going traipse around the city looking for parking). We had an amazing stay!! We experienced very friendly and accommodating interactions with all staff and the room and hotel overall were tremendously clean and comfortable.
Great location by the Pru. Well-maintained property with very clean, well designed and comfortable rooms. An unpretentious high-end hotel at a human scale. Only disappointment is the restaurant, and especially the buffet breakfast, which is primitive for the price.
Once you stay at a Mandarin Oriental, you'll find it hard to go back. Rooms and bathrooms are excellent. Housekeeping service twice a day. In the evening they prepare the bed for sleeping, put down a bath mat on the carpet and slippers. Set the room lights down; empty the trash cans; fill the stainless steel ice bucket; refold the leading edge of the toilet paper into a convenient triangle (really!); replace the towels, glasses, turn on the TV, etc. Lots of electronic controls. The Marriott was very clean and a great experience. Staff was kind and extremely supportive and helpful I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Boston.
An extra flat sheet should be in the room for when the couch is used as a bed. The couch was stained in the fabric needed to be cleaned. Otherwise, the bathroom and full kitchen were impressive and appreciated. The blackout curtains were great and the gas fireplace was fabulous! The location was amazing. I’ll stay at the Inn at St Botolph for all my trips.
Nice little boutique hotel. Small room is trade off for being super close to Boston Common, tons of restaurants, and river trails. 20 minute walk to Fenway was big plus. On foot was best way to get there.
