Mindalae Museum is just one of the attractions in Colón, Quito so you might want to stop by during your trip. If you want to experience more of the culture Quito has to offer, head to Foch Square, Pontificia Catholic University of Ecuador, and El Jardin Mall.
If you want to see a show while you're in town, try and grab some tickets at Uio Microtheater in Colón. If you enjoy the show and want to see another, Teatro El Agora, Casa De la Musica, and Bolivar Theatre are not far.
This hotel is a gem! It seems like a 5 star retreat. We checked in extremely late due to our international flight and a simple email to the hotel was responded with assurances our room would be waiting, and it was. This is an adorable hotel located in the mariscal neighborhood. With a late flight we didn't arrive to our hotel until around 1:00 am, but there was still a person working the front desk waiting for us. Check in and out was a breeze and they have a secure front gate that can be buzzed to let you in. Nice looking hotel with lots of decorations, internet even computers plus printer. Includes breakfast buffet which was great! Quiet and comfortable. Full room service. Prices for room service are good. Normal for Ecuador but cheap if you compare to USA prices. Overall it was a nice stay. Location is great. Right in the middle. I arrived very late. The hotel owner was there to greet me and check me in. They accommodated a later breakfast time. Was very happy and would stay again!
Hotel Mama Cuchara is a lovely boutique hotel with a great location. The breakfast is delicious and the team took great care of us. We loved our stay there and would absolutely come back and stay again next time we are in Quito.
Great location. Mall across the street with super maxi. Lots atms. Strip club across the street. Easy taxi ride to anywhere you need. Staff is excellent. No ac but I had cheap room. Didn’t need it though.
I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.
I’ve traveled all over the world, five countries in the last 12 months. I have to say that this hotel had the best customer service I’ve ever seen. I was treated like a king as a regular traveler. I never leave reviews but I want the next traveler to Quito to find this gem.
Exceptional hotel located centrally in Quito! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The bedding was top notch, I didn’t want to wake up! But the best part which I will miss throughout the rest of my travels was getting a massage on site each day from Darwin. How nice to have a 90 minute massage after a day of exploring. Don’t skip booking a massage!
We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite... 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Excellent unit. A/C worked perfectly. The dryer actually got hot and dried our clothes. The kitchen was fully stocked with a real coffeemaker (not the horrible single pod that most hotels now use). There was a full size refrig and freezer with ice trays. I was traveling by myself (female) and found it very safe to walk around the area to Plaza Foch (just 1-2 minute walk from the hotel) to get a bite to eat or hail a taxi or go for a drink.
The staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel room was really nice and clean and also the bathroom was just lovely and clean to use.

The hotel is located in the historic center so walkable to all the sites. It's a lovely hotel and the rooms are large. The service is exceptional! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.
What a lovely property. Very historic and the plants and wall paintings give it a welcoming touch. Excellent friendly service, especially from Daniel. Breakfast was also very decent. Very good location in historical center, but the only drawback is that the hotel is on a street that has a lot of noisy bars. Best to request the very quiet rooms in the back. Otherwise a perfect stay.
