We loved staying in Dar Tanja. Amenities, staff and food all wonderful. Excellent breakfast, Amira the best hostess ever. The only thing it was very disturbing was the price of the city tax, Travelocity said pay at property one price and the final tax was 10 times more. Better communication between the hotel and the agency would prepare us better.
This is Clearly a new hotel. It’s Beautiful, Clean & Modern. Check in is not until 2pm. However the staff was lovely & gave us great recommendations to visit during our stay. It’s about 30 minutes from the Ferry Port & Old Town, keep this in mind as taxi is more expensive & the blue taxis in the city do not go to the hotel. There is a local Uber app that is convenient & saved us money.
Location is perfect right on the beach, super close to the marina, the new and old side of the city are both within walking distance , staff is super friendly, I read on the reviews before booking that you can hear street noise at night which is true, I wish they have noise blocking windows it would have made it perfect. I will still Highly recommend it .
The decor and staff are wonderful. It is also in a great location. The breakfast is not as good as it used to be, however. It used to be in the main dining room and included a lively scrambled egg dish. Now only hard- boiled egg plus a lot of bread and some fruit. So please make breakfast better.
Plus room number 4 is quite noisy. I would choose another for sure.
Could Matisse be wrong? He stayed at this hotel, one of the oldest in North Africa, and painted the view from his room. You can still enjoy it, as the room has been preserved as a mini-museum. The hotel is perfectly located, close to the medina and just a short walk to the kasbah. The staff could not be more helpful. Find out why Franklin Roosevelt, Paul Bowles, William Burroughs, Tennessee Williams and many, many more luminaries loved this storied hotel.
If you want a true Moroccan experience, this is the place for you. Comfortable bed, clean linens, plenty of hot water, beautiful decoration, helpful staff and perfect location. You can feel safe here as the main entrance door is always locked and is not on the main street. The breakfast which is part of your stay is wonderful. Plenty of local pancakes, croissants, jams, jellys, honey, pistacho yoghurt and wonderful coffee.

I have stayed at the Rembrant 3 times now, and this time was the best. It is fully renovated with air and a full bath, including a full size tub, in my room at least. I reserved with half board and the food is EXCELLENT. They have a French chef who clearly cares a lot about his food. This was our first visit to Morocco and we wanted to be in the medina. We loved this hotel! The staff was very friendly and gave excellent recommendations. Breakfast was fantastic; we ate once on the rooftop terrace and once on the floor underneath. Very clean. Comfortable beds. We eere sick and the Saturday afternoon receptionist did a major search for an electric teapot that we really needed! Such amazing care! Wd were grateful to have been in such a bright comfomfortable hotel during our illness. Highly recommend staying here!
