A beautiful dreamy Parador! Within most peaceful nature filled grounds, the rooms were exceptionally clean even with back garden access! Delicious breakfast either in the dinning room or garden terraza! Staff is super friendly and helpful with sharing information. Awesome bar with exceptional views of the gardens and sunset! It is off the beaten path but a very unique and interesting facility to explore. The surrounding mountains are stunning and the hiking trails limit less
Comfortable, convenient & excellent boutique hotel choice in Ormaiztegui half way in the Basque Country between Bilbao and San Sebastian by car or else. Their very friendly manager & owner welcome, as well as attention to detail and a tasty breakfast including local traditional cakes he bakes himself, and more simple amenities are there to enjoy by guests.
We loved our 1 night stay at this property and wished we could have stayed longer. Located in a quaint small town in a lovely country setting, it was the perfect way to start our travels in Spain. The restaurants in town weren't open the night we were there, but the staff gave excellent recommendations for options in nearby Durango. Absolutely loved this property. It is located right in the mountains, very quiet and tranquil. The restaurant has one of the best food we tried on our trip around Spain. Highly recommend.
