The hotel itself is excellent. As soon as you step outside you’re risking your life. Filthy dirty, loaded with homeless people doing very obscene things on the street, lots of beggars.

Conveniently located if you want to have fun over the weekend. Walking distance from plenty of bars and clubs as well as a few of the tourist locations Rio is known for.
I needed a place for the night and this served well. The breakfast was great.
Only negative remark would’ve that there was no towel in the room.
Otherwise definitely a place I’d pick again
Best place to stay in Rio! Breakfast was perfect and the rooftop view was outstanding. Via the concierge, we booked a tour to see Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf and it was well worth every Rial!

This was an amazing hotel, within walking distance to the US Embassy which was the purpose of the trip. We ordered dinner our first night and the salad was absolutely amazing, my fiancee was raving about how excellent everything was. The morning after the inclusive breakfast was phenomenal, amazing selection of juices, lots of variety and you could really tell it was a Brazilian breakfast. The property was nice. The room (on 4th floor) had an interesting smell. I thought it smelled like moth repellant or cockroach repellant. But my wife said it smelled like moist mold or something. It wasn’t very bad. Breakfast was very good. The staff was really great.
It was an excellent stay and an update on the internet service. The internet has been improved and they are doing more work on it. Is better than many hotels in the US. And of course the employees were great.
The ac didn’t work well, so it got stuffy a few times in the middle of the night. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and well kept. Great restaurants and shops at walking distance; not to mention the beautiful Copacabana Beach. I would stay at this hotel again. And Mr. Altino (I think that’s his name), the very nice gentleman who works at the front door in the afternoons is the best!
