Hotels in Downtown Playa del Carmen

Amazing hotel and good price

Hotel Lunata is a gem situated on Playa del Carmen's charming 5th Avenue, and one block from Playa's main beach. Even though our room overlooked 5th Avenue, the triple-insulated balcony doors assured peace and quiet. The hotel is reminiscent of a hacienda, and has a lovely private - and very quiet - garden. The complimentary continental breakfast was tasty, with fresh fruit and Mexican pastries along with cereals, coffee, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Perhaps the best attribute of the...

Always A beautiful convenient place to stay and Playa del Carmen

Yes, fantastic layout and views.

I loved staying here! Everything I needed was in the room or within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Great location! Staff was amazing Great food and lots of fun

I really enjoyed my stay at Posada Sian Kaan. Our stay was in April 2016. I have been traveling to the area for the past 10 years. I wasn’t looking for an extravagant or luxurious hotel. I just wanted a standard nice clean room near the beach, near 5th Avenue, near the ADO bus station, near the ferry to Cozumel and at a decent price. This hotel exceeded all my requirements, and believe me, I did my research. The hotel has four levels. The balcony overlooks the dining patio, small pool...

We stayed for 6 wonderful nights in a 2BR penthouse. Staff were wonderful, A/C and WiFi worked great. The kitchen had just about everything you could need. Bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms very nice. The public spaces were always well maintained. We loved all of the furnished outdoor spaces, 2 on the main level and the amazing rooftop patio with a hot tub, BBQ, palapa and ocean views! Book a penthouse and you will not be disappointed....Word of warning though, there are a LOT...

We had an incredible experience at Porto Playa. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and comfortable. The room was gorgeous. We had the penthouse so it was HUGE with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We had room to spread out and have our own space. The pool is gigantic and so nice to swim in and the hot tubs are also lovely. The staff was so friendly and gracious. It was a pretty slow week so we had the place mostly to ourselves and it was very quiet. I will definitely return.

American style hotel. Cleaning service every day, very well taken care of, comfortable bed. The room had everything I needed! The rooftop pool and lounge was amazing. The location is super close to shops and stores, and a few minutes walk from the beach. Felt very safe and secure.

Great location and friendly staff

From the outside doesn't look like much but once inside its beautiful with a koi pond and pool that runs in the center of the hotel complex. The rooms are really nice with a full kitchen. And it came with a personal jacuzzi outside by the front entrance and steps away from the main pool. Bad part is they close main door after 10pm and have to go thru front desk office.

I stayed at Kinbe Hotel from Feb 17 - Feb 24 2021 and really enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect -- two minutes walking from the beach and right on the main street with all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious -- both the bedroom and bathroom. The balconies are comfortable too, and the beach bag in the bedrooms is a nice touch. Enrique, Mikaela, Alex and the rest of the staff were all very hospitable and helpful with useful suggestions. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked...

Loved this hotel, would definitely recommend and stay again! The staff was great, the breakfast was very good, the rooms were clean and the rooftop area was a perfect hangout spot. Yes, the pool tiles need to be redone but that doesn’t effect the relaxing time we had there. The location is central to downtown but the rooms are silent inside. Loved our 3 nights here!

La Pasión is a gem ! It is an older hotel with only 60 rooms , but it is charming. Located fronting the Plaza Municipal, which on Friday-Sunday hosts a market with food and items. Breakfast at adjoining restaurant is available only to guests of the hotel who prepay, and is well worth the price. The restaurant opens later in the day to the public and features mostly Spanish food , not Mexican. 2 small pools in the lush courtyard, and 1 rooftop pool. If you are lucky perhaps Octavio the cat will...

Great hotel that is close to beach, shopping and wonderful restaurants. The staff is amazing! The young ladies at the front desk, Jennifer and Rachel, were extremely helpful and accommodating. The manager, Offner, could not be nicer!!! Always stopped to chat with us and make suggestions about where to eat and what to do. We had a rough start to our trip (nothing to do with the hotel) but he helped us to rectify the issues. As I said, amazing staff!!! The hotel is small but wonderful. Our room...

The hotel was very calm and quiet which was great. The location was perfect, felt like 75 restaurants and shops were within a 5-10 mins walk of the hotel. The beach was also a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Loved the floorplan of the suite. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only negative we had was that we booked roundtrip airport transportation through the hotel (VM travel services), which arrival was great but they completely forgot to pick us up for departure which caused us to have...

Beds were a bit hard but always a great place to stay
