The rooms were spotless and functional, the staff was extremely attentive, and the location was just perfect--steps from the Nishiki Market and the Gion district. Yet the single most outstanding feature of the NEST at Nishiki is its manager, Ms. Chie Nakamura. She is professional, knowledgeable, a top-notch hotelier, and a wonderful person. Staying at this hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip. The location is unbeatable—right across from Kyoto Station, but as soon as you step inside, it's like entering another world.
