"The Dwarika’s is a one-of-a-kind jewel, with extraordinary architectural detail lovingly crafted and beautifully maintained. The service is top, and overall it provides a luxurious oasis in central Kathmandu."
"A beautiful hotel with traditional elements and beautiful gardens. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast choices and amazing fresh dosas! Well equipped gym and nice jacuzzi/sauna."
"The room was nice but the staff was exceptional! The manager Aishing and Receptionist Paras did an excellent job of welcoming and making my stay comfortable. Nice Indian restaurant with live music. Thanks for the upgrade and higher floor! I highly recommend this "
"This is a beautiful, well appointed, clean, comfortable hotel. I highly recommend you stay here whilst you visit Kathmandu. The staff are very helpful, efficient and thorough. The breakfast options are delicious and fresh. The interior design of the rooms are unique and beautiful. The courtyard is a nice spot for an afternoon beer and some snacks. The hotel is off the main streets of Thamel so you can escape the hustle and bustle but it is very close to everything you need. 10/10."
"A lovely stay in Kathmandu - the staff made our large group feel like family. In particular a shout out to Pasang who couldn’t have been more kind or helpful!"
"There are lots of hotels to stay at in Kathmandu, but there is only one Shankar. Shankar has unmatched hospitality, with my personal favorite hosts Mr. Puri & Mr. Sharan who are both super stars. I always looked foward to chatting with them at meal times. Shankar has a mid-century modern motif, and it keeps the heritage of Nepal and Newari culture alive. Shankar also has an amazing garden to relax in and connect with nature after a long day in the city. "
"Bujan picked me up at the airport as pre-arranged and transferred me to the hotel. It was a pleasant comfortable journey and Bujan was friendly and hospitable. He proved equally friendly at the hotel checkin and efficiently got me set up in a well appointed spacious room with a nice view of the pool and garden for my short stay. I only wish the stay was longer. The next morning found me on my way after Brianca and her other colleagues got my account settled up and checked out. This would be a...
"Excellent service by the staff at this fantastic hotel. We really like the location, cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. It was an excellent choice for us and we really enjoyed our short stay here"
"Nice hotel, staff and clean. Not too pricy and worth it. From this location I walked to everything I wanted to see. The satff will call you a taxi too or you can just grab one on the street. Happy with airport pickup too, though expensive, it was easy."
"Great stay after pour Everest Basecamp trek. Much calmer neighbourhood than Thamil area.
Very friendly staff.
Great views from the roof top bar and swimming pool. "

The Nepali culture intertwined with eminent hospitality at the Basera Boutique Hotel. I highly recommend this as the first hotel of your stay in Kathmandu, as you recover from jetlag. The streaming services on the TV will help you feel like you're at home, and there's a rooftop pool and restaurant with a complimentary cultural show so you don't have to leave the hotel to have some low-key fun and uniquely Nepali entertainment!
Outstanding staff takes care of your every need. The property is clean and a nice safe oasis from the chaos of the surrounding city.
I recommend Hotel Timila - and will stay there again when I return to Nepal.
We had a fantastic stay, from the beautiful greeting we received from the gate keeper, to the cool drink we were offered upon arrival; the delicious breakfast, the kind friendly knowledgeable staff. The rooms were beautiful. Three of us were completely comfortable. All amenities you could wish for. We especially appreciated Santosh, Puza, Amir and Prem! Great job! Beautiful hotel.
Kasthamandap Boutique Hotel had perfection down to a science. From the most courteous, attentive staff to my hotel room being immaculately clean and meticulously pretty.
It is situated in a lovely area of Thamel. I enjoyed taking walks through Thamel in the evenings. The staff is so courteous; they were always making sure we were taken care of. They helped us arrange flights to and from Pokhara and auto transportation to and from the airport. Every detail of the room was beautifully designed...

The restaurant is very good
Breakfast amazing
Highly recommended
Thankyou to all the staff
A great option for a stay in Thamel. Centrally located, well priced and offers a fantastic breakfast buffet. Restaurant is also good for other meals. Staff were helpful and professional. Some night noise as the area is known for clubs and bars.
I absolutely loved everything about this boutique-style hotel—from its authentic charm to the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Located in the heart of Thamel, the vibrant center of Kathmandu, it offers easy access to shops, cafes, and cultural sites, yet feels like a peaceful retreat from the city’s lively streets.
The rooms were spacious, spotless, and decorated with original paintings that gave them a unique and local touch. Breakfasts were varied and tasty, and I also enjoyed a couple...
Great clean rooms, always hot water, amazing staff, great hot breakfast, strong AC! Couldn't have asked for a better option! Note: Power is out for several hours in the afternoon, so fridge is not really functional. Wifi continues to work all day!
Excellent service with care, love and smile. The manager always asking about my stay and if any help needed. My stay was memorable and the Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing organized by the Hotel was so great. The breakfast is nice,WiFi is reliable and staff impeccable. Will definitely return if I come back.
Excellent service by the staff at this fantastic hotel. We really like the location, cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. It was an excellent choice for us and we really enjoyed our short stay here
We really enjoyed our stay at the Kantipur Temple Hotel. We were in Nepal when the earthquake struck. The owner Bharat ensured that we were well looked after. Since the hotel sustained some damage due to liability, we could not stay in our rooms. But they provided us with food and bedding and we had to remain in the grounds.
Also a skeleton staff was left to take care of our needs.
Ram the manager's house was damaged but he put our comfort and those of the other guest before his family. Also...
Fantastic! The service at this hotel can not be beat! Everyone is beyond nice and helpful. The breakfast in the morning is excellent. I came in looking tired one day and they rushed to my room with a cup of tea to make me feel better. This hotel is on the edge of the tourist area which is good because it is quieter then other hotels but still very close to the action. They have generator back up so you are never without power and the water in the shower was always hot. They also pick you up and...
