"The Dwarika’s is a one-of-a-kind jewel, with extraordinary architectural detail lovingly crafted and beautifully maintained. The service is top, and overall it provides a luxurious oasis in central Kathmandu."
"A beautiful hotel with traditional elements and beautiful gardens. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast choices and amazing fresh dosas! Well equipped gym and nice jacuzzi/sauna."
"The room was nice but the staff was exceptional! The manager Aishing and Receptionist Paras did an excellent job of welcoming and making my stay comfortable. Nice Indian restaurant with live music. Thanks for the upgrade and higher floor! I highly recommend this "
"What an amazing hotel with everything to praise for. Starting from room stuff to restaurant stuff to front desk people. Sajan at restaurant was one of the kindest and polite waiters i have ever come across. Will come back again. "
"Amazing staff, Mr Anand Prakash and his staff at front desk was amazing. They took care of every small thing for a pilgrimage trip with seniors. Roos were spacious, clean, food was good. Would highly recommend this hotel except the access might be little jittery but doesn't matter too as you get the courtesy vehicle. "
"A lovely stay in Kathmandu - the staff made our large group feel like family. In particular a shout out to Pasang who couldn’t have been more kind or helpful!"
"There are lots of hotels to stay at in Kathmandu, but there is only one Shankar. Shankar has unmatched hospitality, with my personal favorite hosts Mr. Puri & Mr. Sharan who are both super stars. I always looked foward to chatting with them at meal times. Shankar has a mid-century modern motif, and it keeps the heritage of Nepal and Newari culture alive. Shankar also has an amazing garden to relax in and connect with nature after a long day in the city. "
"Staff are lovely. Location is great. 20 minute walk to durbar sq. Bar staff very nice it’s a bit expensive but nice for a night cap and a game of pool. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking. Great housekeeping. Would recommend."
"I was very impressed with this hotel! So that we extended one more night. Good customer service, helpful, friendly, professional. Room was fine with view. The hotel is huge and pool was nice. I highly recommend the Indian restaurant (we visited it twice) & the room service (was so good) and the outdoor lounge. Breakfast was very good & different than usual options. But needs more space if some groups attend the breakfast.
Spa can be improved.
Overall I recommend it and will book again if i...
"I choose the MAP PLAN with breakfast and dinner. The dinner was really amazing , it felt like a maharani thali from star hotel.thank you gaasbaas for amazing meal.."
"There is some small problem with the rooms facilities. But you will find a very pleasant experience with staff there are so kind and very much caring. Specially a very kind lady who works at the restaurant. Dear pushba . Wishing all the best for her and other staff members."
"Vivanta was clean, organized and the staff was exceptional especially Bikey at the front desk and the lady that manages the dining hall. Three restaurants available with a variety of choices. If you need anything from a taxi to an extra towel, the staff is quick to help. Loved all. ❤️"

A convenient airport hotel with outstanding hospitality. The staff kindly accommodated an early check-in after my arrival, which made a long travel day much easier. They also arranged a complimentary airport drop-off for my departing flight, and everything was punctual and hassle-free. Comfortable and clean room. If you’re looking for a reliable hotel near Kathmandu Airport with excellent service, this is a great choice!
Great property in Kathmandu, but better than that were all the staff! Front desk staff Amir and Shristy were truly amazing and helpful and kind. Hospitality at this hotel was way above standard in my humble opinion. The rooftop pool was great and somewhat private, although just a bit on the cool side. Enjoyed the variety in the breakfast buffet as well. A very hearty "dhanyabad" to Mercure Kathmandu!
From the time I arrived, I felt comfortable. Security was in the parking lot to ensure the property was secure and people not staying at the hotel were escorted away. The check in process was very quick and easy. All staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, stocked with all items needed and comfortable. The restaurant and bar area on top of the hotel lends to the best view of Boudhanath close by. The spa is wonderful. The hotel does not have a fitness center but that would...
The Nepali culture intertwined with eminent hospitality at the Basera Boutique Hotel. I highly recommend this as the first hotel of your stay in Kathmandu, as you recover from jetlag. The streaming services on the TV will help you feel like you're at home, and there's a rooftop pool and restaurant with a complimentary cultural show so you don't have to leave the hotel to have some low-key fun and uniquely Nepali entertainment!
Very well maintained property. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Only issue was at check-in. I had reserved a room for a half day as my flight left in the evening. I had my text message from the hotel stating it would be $50 extra which I agreed to. Lady at the desk had to see the text. Take a screen shot and make a phone call to get approval. Rest of the stay was fine.
Everything about it is what you would expect at a Marriott anywhere else in the world except for the concierge staff. The excellent concierge staff certainly justified the 5th star.
Staff here are top notch! So welcoming helpful and ready to make your stay the absolute best it can be. Gym was great to help me train for my trek. Pool was beautiful. Restaurant is fabulous and the buffet for dinner and breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be coming back here next time in Kathmandu!
Outstanding staff takes care of your every need. The property is clean and a nice safe oasis from the chaos of the surrounding city.
I recommend Hotel Timila - and will stay there again when I return to Nepal.
