"The Dwarika’s is a one-of-a-kind jewel, with extraordinary architectural detail lovingly crafted and beautifully maintained. The service is top, and overall it provides a luxurious oasis in central Kathmandu."
"It's a good hotel for Nepal and close to the ring road on that side of the valley so we don't need to travel across the whole valley to get up to the monastery and things on the west side. Hope this hotel sticks around, it's really good, service is good, room is good, bathroom is great, internet is great. The only issues I had was noisy neighbours. This hotel has a lot of Indians who like to shout and have their TV loud."
"A beautiful hotel with traditional elements and beautiful gardens. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast choices and amazing fresh dosas! Well equipped gym and nice jacuzzi/sauna."
"The room was nice but the staff was exceptional! The manager Aishing and Receptionist Paras did an excellent job of welcoming and making my stay comfortable. Nice Indian restaurant with live music. Thanks for the upgrade and higher floor! I highly recommend this "
"My spouse and I stayed at the Aarya Hotel just over a week. The hotel is beautifully appointed in traditional Nepali style, has all the modern conveniences and is very clean. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning; the fare is delicious, nutritious and varied. Most exceptional about our experience has been the Aarya Hotel staff, who are all courteous, professional, friendly and accommodating; their warm hospitality made our stay memorable and happy. I wholeheartedly recommend the...
"A lovely stay in Kathmandu - the staff made our large group feel like family. In particular a shout out to Pasang who couldn’t have been more kind or helpful!"
"There are lots of hotels to stay at in Kathmandu, but there is only one Shankar. Shankar has unmatched hospitality, with my personal favorite hosts Mr. Puri & Mr. Sharan who are both super stars. I always looked foward to chatting with them at meal times. Shankar has a mid-century modern motif, and it keeps the heritage of Nepal and Newari culture alive. Shankar also has an amazing garden to relax in and connect with nature after a long day in the city. "
"I was very impressed with this hotel! So that we extended one more night. Good customer service, helpful, friendly, professional. Room was fine with view. The hotel is huge and pool was nice. I highly recommend the Indian restaurant (we visited it twice) & the room service (was so good) and the outdoor lounge. Breakfast was very good & different than usual options. But needs more space if some groups attend the breakfast.
Spa can be improved.
Overall I recommend it and will book again if i...
"Great stay after pour Everest Basecamp trek. Much calmer neighbourhood than Thamil area.
Very friendly staff.
Great views from the roof top bar and swimming pool. "
"Yes roof top restaurant was very nice

Hard to describe, I suggest you go have a look !! "
"We have stayed three times so far in here. It has become a second home in Kathmandu. Staff are super nice, food is great, and we have enjoyed the relaxing spa, sumptuous food before heading back as always"
"Staff so helpful and friendly....we stayed for over a week due to things beyond our control and Mr Tulsi and all his staff really looked after us. The hotel is tucked away up a deadend but within easy reach of al tha Thamel has yo offer!"

If you want to give your credit card some exercise, head out to Kathmandu Civil Mall in Sundhara. Splash some more cash at Durbar Marg and Asan Bazaar.
The Nepali culture intertwined with eminent hospitality at the Basera Boutique Hotel. I highly recommend this as the first hotel of your stay in Kathmandu, as you recover from jetlag. The streaming services on the TV will help you feel like you're at home, and there's a rooftop pool and restaurant with a complimentary cultural show so you don't have to leave the hotel to have some low-key fun and uniquely Nepali entertainment!
Fantastic experience. The concierge, the restaurant and the bartenders were all top notch. Looking forward to a return trip to Kathmandu and the Hyatt Place Hotel.
Very well maintained property. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Only issue was at check-in. I had reserved a room for a half day as my flight left in the evening. I had my text message from the hotel stating it would be $50 extra which I agreed to. Lady at the desk had to see the text. Take a screen shot and make a phone call to get approval. Rest of the stay was fine.
I stayed at Hotel Friend's Home for a week while in Kathmandu. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and willing to help with just about anything. Accommodations were basic, but if that is what you are looking for, it is perfect. Breakfast was great and tea/coffee provided at anytime. I needed internet connection and that worked well for the duration of my stay. Also, hot water! I will stay here next time as there is no need to go anywhere else.
I was very pleased to stay at the Magnificent Hotel!!
The staff was amazing and more than helpful. They helped with airport transportation and loading expedition bags onto a van at 1:00am. Made sure we were on the correct van and paid the driver.
The Manager Ganga, sat with us and gave great tips for touring.
The owner also owns Third Rock Adventures if you are looking for great deals.I highly recommend the Magnificent Hotel!!
The most excellent hotel in Kathmandu.
I stayed here for three days. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staffs are very helpful.
If I come to Kathmandu again, I’ll definitely choose to stay in this hotel again.
Thank you for your hospitality and kindness.
Outstanding staff takes care of your every need. The property is clean and a nice safe oasis from the chaos of the surrounding city.
I recommend Hotel Timila - and will stay there again when I return to Nepal.
Excellent property! Staff was even better! Very helpful and nice! Extremely comfortable bed for sleeping! Rooftop terrace was beautiful! I have nothing bad to say about this place!
The stay was fantastic, mostly because of the staff. It felt like much more than just a hotel—it was like having a friend in a city I was visiting for the first time.
The staff was always available and genuinely eager to help. They checked in to make sure I had slept well and asked if there was anything else I needed. When I asked about a currency exchange within walking distance, they simply exchanged my money at the front desk at a very fair rate. When I wanted to explore the city and learn...
