"This is a very peaceful hotel, perfect for a complete wind down. We had been on a 5 day soul music festival and chose this hotel to follow it for a few days.
The hotel has another restaurant overlooking a small sheltered bay with access to the sea for a swim ( take your snorkel)and run a shuttle service to and from hotel for lunch or dinner, the staff there are really good especially the manager Nemanja.
It is safe to say we will return to this hotel and of course Gozo!"
"Hotel is rather tired, room is large enough for more hanging space for clothes but only a small area provided and none for anything longer than a jacket. Lovely views from balcony and room was clean. In the perfect place only yards from the beach."
"Beautiful clean fresh and spacious hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Great location literally over the road from the sea. Easy access to other points of interest across Malta via uber. Plenty of choice of restaurants and bars in a walkable distance.
Can be loud in the evenings."
"Been her before in 2014 it was nice then, but has moved with the times.
It is now a modern stylish hotel with 3 pools and good choice of restaurants.
You will not be disappointed.

Lovely old-style hotel with lots of atmosphere. Very welcoming -huge room that was very comfortable, and the evening meal in their restaurant was excellent in all courses - the roast lamb with rosemary particularly good, and my partner had veal which was also great. Huge portions of deserts as well!
We had an excellent Delicata wine made from local Gozitan grapes.
The breakfast next morning was also excellent and as much as you could eat!
The perfect stay and i wish we could have stayed...
This is my favourite hotel in the whole world, and it is always lovely to return to. Blissfully quiet and relaxing ,with great swimming pools and a brilliant spa-pool which is surrounded by sandy-coloured rocks and lovely foliage. This time of year the bouganvilia, hibiscus and oleander flowers are in full bloom. Food is also great ,and breakfast underneath the giant old carob tree is simply the best!
Excellent value. Location top notch and staff was extremely helpful. Rooms large and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. This is a much better than average 3 star property.
First off, the location is ideal. You are steps away from everything, but everything is not steps away from you. It’s nuzzled ever so slightly behind Independence plaza. Hidden enough to avoid constant foot traffic. The interior is beautiful and well maintained. The fixtures all modern. My room was very conformable, the linens soft and well threaded. USB-C ports at each bedside was an absolute plus. There was a mini fridge and safe as well. The shower was top shelf. The AC was very powerful....
We have been coming to the Hotel for many years now. Since our children were small and they enjoyed it then. We did not return to Malta for awhile but when we did and it was time to visit Gozo again we wanted to try the Calypso Hotel. We did and have now come back at least twice a year for several years now for special occasions and just getting away for a few days. The Hotel staff is polite and helpful, the rooms very clean and we love the locations on the sea. The food has been good as...
