We stayed twice in this property during our trip to Malta. We checked in at night because our flight landed after midnight. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. They gave us a beautiful room with modern bathroom and sauna. Pity the sofa was not made into a sofa bed and all three of us had to sleep on the bed (by the way, the bed and pillows and linen are amazing). Breakfast was good, with wide choice of menu items, however I didn't like the taste of eggs.
This is hotel is extraordinary. Set right in the center of Valletta, you cannot ask for a better location. As soon as you open it’s doors you feel the tranquility of this perfect hotel. Everyone at the front desk was friendly, capable, and extremely professional. The breakfast was good and the service in the restaurant was also very good. Our room was very nice and sitting in our Jacuzzi late at night and/or in the morning was REALLY nice. On our last day, we did hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, but the maid decided to open the door anyway while we were inside. This could have been an awkward situation, but luckily everyone in the room had clothes on. Honestly...

We stayed one night. Very nice hotel. We had a large room with balcony over looking the pool and river. Several restaurants, nice bar, pool. There is a spa but we did not use it. They have a shuttle to town. We road to town and walked back. Ten minute walk.
Very nice hotel. Great location in central Valletta. Most of the staff is excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. Good amenities. Couldn't check in when we got there, so we left our bags and toured the city. When we returned, the room was ready and the bags had already been brought up.
Very happy about our stay at San Karlu Hotel. The rooms were spacious and modern with all amenities. The breakfast was outstanding and the employees were great. The hotel was centrally located surrounded by historic buildings and great restaurants.
