"I was nervous about booking here due to negative reviews. However, I’m so glad I took a chance because the hotel was amazing. Our room was clean and cozy, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and all the staff we encountered were very nice and welcoming. One of the staff members even gave a toy to my daughter from their toy box! We really appreciated this gesture, as it came in helpful later during the day when we went out and our daughter was bored. They have a sink, burner to cook food in, a small dining table, and even dishes, pots, and utensils. We didn’t use any of these items as we did not expect to have these amenities available, however, we know for next time. The breakfast was good and filling. We didn’t find a need to go eat breakfast elsewhere. Overall, I would stay here again."

"I stayed at the Westin Galleria Houston recently, and honestly, it ended up being a pretty solid place to crash for a few days. The biggest win is the location. Being connected directly to the Galleria feels almost unfair—you can wander downstairs in your socks (not that I did) and suddenly you’re surrounded by shops, food, and people who look way more put‑together than you do after a long day. It made everything easy. My room was comfortable in that familiar Westin way. The bed really is as good as people say; I slept better than I expected, especially after a long day of meetings. The room itself was clean and had plenty of space, even if some of the décor felt like it remembered the early 2010s a little too fondly. Nothing bad, just not super modern. The staff were genuinely kind. Not over‑the‑top, not robotic—just normal, helpful people. Someone at the front desk gave me a great dinner recommendation without sounding like they were reading from a script, which I appreciated. The lobby has a relaxed vibe, and I found myself hanging out there more than I usually do in hotels. If I had to nitpick, the elevators get crowded, especially when the mall is busy, and a few areas of the hotel could use a refresh. But those things didn’t ruin anything; they were just small bumps in an otherwise easy stay."
