"Clean well-maintained affordable hotel with very friendly staff. I lost my glasses, and the staff immediately took upon themselves to offer to call places, where I might have lost them, and then proceeded to offer a solution by pointing out where I could easily get replacement glasses cheaply. Whilst not a luxury property, it was clean, wellmaintained and offered a lounge area for informal meetings and good breakfast services and a bar."

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.
Nice hotel, it’s located one block from the river Eisbach, This is the famous artificial channel where surfers ride the standing wave. The only downside is that there was not AC but there was a fan in the room. I’d stay there again.
Nice hotel, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, good location for our trip (few minutes walk to the train station), we walked to Marienplatz, other attractions and restaurants.
This hotel was perfect to stay for 2 nights for Oktoberfest. The location is extremely convenient - less than a 3 minute walk to the entrance of Oktoberfest. The room is pretty small, but served its purpose as we spent most of the time outside our hotel room anyway.
As an experienced traveler, I've become very picky about the places I stay and felt the K&K Hotel was perfect. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and was very comfortable. At first the location seemed pretty quite distant from the ‘Old City’, however you couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel is within a five minute walk to the U-Bahn (6th train) which can get you to key areas of the city very quickly (Not even 10 minutes to the Marinplatz). Very nice place to stay in Munich. Centrally located for public transportation and in a safe area. The highlight is the breakfast spread — make sure you take advantage of what they offer for a good start to your day. Wonderful people taking care of you, especially Avni. He and his co-workers are the best and want to see that you are happy with everything. No need to go anywhere else for breakfast!
Hotel room size is bigger than normal European hotel so this is a plus, you got 2 free beer bottles and free water daily. Step out from the hotel and in front of you is market with all sort of food stalls and beer garden. The famous Hofbrauhaus and Shopping area is prob about less than 10 minute walk. Highly recommend
