"Very cool place! The restaurant was very nice with great service and outstanding food. This is a hidden gem for sure. Clean room, great setting along a small river. Stay here again, yes!"
"Excellent service, excellent room, great atmosphere, Michelin star restaurant. If you are looking for an aesthetic plus cozy stay this is the place that you should be"
"Incredible place. Gorgeous location and such a beautiful setting. The bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in and the breakfast set up was fab. Cannot fault this place "
"A tranquil, traditional French hotel. A tasteful place. All the facilities worked. Well located for visting the town.
The best thing was the buffet breakfast. It was excellent in variety, quantity and quality. It was worth staying there just for that!"
"This is a very charming hotel with an absolutely kind, helpful, warm staff. It's definitely more rustic than modern, but it was clean, comfy and felt very safe. "
"Great host, we felt welcome even thought we arrived a day too early. Beautiful property with a couple of friendly donkeys surrounded by picturesque fields. Beautiful room with amazing views, peaceful and quiet. Loved the breakfast too. Looking forward to another stay there!!"
"I suspect that it’s not tourist season yet and there’s no reason to open up the town-it’s still cool and rainy. Not much going on but really fine for our needs. Hotel is clean and modest. Staff is excellent. "
"Séjour entre amis à vélo le long du canal du Nivernais . Étape proche du canal , à 3 km de Clamecy où se trouvent tous les commerces et un très joli centre ville autour d’une belle église . En revanche pas de restauration sur place en dehors du petit déjeuner . Nous avons commandé des bocaux , moyens et chers .. excellent séjour . Joli lieu , piscine chauffée .. "

This was the second hotel in a small village we stayed in (other was in Azay-le-Rideau), and I absolutely loved this one, too. This charming hotel in a 1700's home was at the top of the hill, a block down from the Basilica. The staff was wonderful, the room was very comfortable and clean and updated, with plenty of room for me and my luggage (my room had a double bed).
There are a number of restaurants and shops in the town. I recommend eating at Auberge de la Coquille, which was just a...
Very cute, comfratable, large room, good water pressure/temperature, the shower-tub combo was perfect. I would stay here again.
However, the check in isn't right on Hotels.com. It says that you have to contact the property for check in instructions and lists a phone number. It took us multiple attempts to reach the hotel, and when we did get through they said they didn't speak English and hung up (the listing says they speak English and French). When we got there, the gate is closed and...

A truly amazing place - Historic buildings, very warm and inviting rooms and with an excellent restaurant which has a wonderful wine list. Highly recommend.

Quiet and well run budget hotel. Beds could have been a bit more comfortable but the great breakfast made up for the hard bed. Would consider staying again when back in the area.
