"It just didn’t seem like what was shown online. I had the impression that it was like a hotel. It was not. We were only given one role of toilet paper, so we had to ask the host to bring some. We have to give him props for coming to give us some though. There also wasn’t any shampoo or conditioner, it just seemed disappointing. We didn't pay that much so I guess you get what you pay for."

Fantastic hotel. About 5 minute walk from marina and 10 minute walk to downtown. Free parking just around the corner. Front desk staff was so kind, accommodating, spoke perfect English, really lovely. Room was spotless, recently updated, very quiet at night, with AC, comfortable bed, nice shower. Great location and hotel right across from the water. Nothing fancy, but clean and very accommodating. The staff was absolutely wonderful and welcoming. They spoke English and was able to help with any questions.
The breakfast wasn't good. If you want basic, it is fine. But after the second day of having eggs, we decided to not eat down there. There is a pool but did not go in it, as you are literally on the water. Definitely request ocean view, as the other views are rather not that...
Absolutely loved staying here! So many things that are positive- the view from the balcony was stunning! We were blessed with a beach concert that was so much fun to watch from the balcony. The bed was the most comfortable of our entire stay in all of Italy! And talk about an amazing shower I can’t even even begin to describe it. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The staff was unbelievable and couldn't have made us feel more at home for being so far away from home. The managers and bartenders and servers were just fantastic. We will definitely be staying there again. My sincere gratitude to the staff.
There were two of us traveling together and decided to stay in one room, the only option online through Expedia was a single bed room so we booked that and hoped for the best. When we arrived to Bonsai (arrived two hours before check-in), we were welcomed by Christian, a hotel staff member and offered a breakfast free of charge. The location of this hotel was perfect; it was literally in the middle of Alghero. Just a few minutes walk from all of the restaurants and stores. I was used to having bidets but I understand why they probably didn’t have one; there’s just not enough room. I didn’t have a lot of stuff so the climb up the steps wasn’t a big deal. Only inconvenience was a very strong sewage smell all over the place.
This hotel is in amazing area and perfect beach. Food at the restaurant was one of the best we tried in Sardinia. Next to the hotel are more beaches walking distance and with a small hike. My only complain was the bedroom, we had junior suite with ocean view which was amazing but the bed was bad and is cover with a plastic to protect the mattress which causes a lot of heat, also bathroom a little uncomfortable. Just for the price room could be a little bit better.
