"It's not luxury, but it had everything we needed. Balcony was nice, and kitchenette was well equipped - great little 2 door fridge. Breakfast items available to purchase at fair prices, we didn't use it but nice to see. A little out of town, it's a shame the buses stop at about 8:30. Would stay again."

It is just a few miles north of the airport in Darwin and very easy to get to from the airport. I was concerned because we were arriving at 10pm and i was renting a car, driving on the left side for the first time in 20 years and had no idea where it was. leaving the airport it was just a right and a left onto Lee point and then just a couple miles straight. (through two roundabouts) Very easy. Even though we got there late reception had waited for us to make sure everything was ok. The room...
I stayed for just a night. Part of the hotel was under the construction. I'm sure that's done by now. Room was cozy and nice right next to the main Park in downtown Darwin.
2 adults, 2 good beds, and cooking supplies and frig for light meals. 1/2 block to WWII oil storage tanks museum. Small pool /sunbathing area fenced in. At opposite end of the block connected with hotel there is an ATM, a great little coffee shop, and an elevator which takes you up to easy access to a walking tour of the Darwin CBD. I really enjoyed the hotel. They had great facilities and comfy clean rooms. The pool was beautiful and the people were very helpful and nice. I'd never heard of Rydges before, but I would definitely stay at one in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable to relax in. Pool was great. Enjoyed our complimentary breakfast buffet. Overall the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for taking a walk around town and waterfront.
