"Modern, clean and tidy rooms. On a free bus route so very easy to get into CBD. A bit of a hike to shops for supplies if self-catering though. Lovely view across to Kings Park. Safe feeling neighbourhood. All in all a good experience and value for money."

This is a relatively new, beautifully furnished hotel in a central location on the Swan River next to the University of Western Australia (UWA). Our room faced the river, had a nice balcony, well-designed space, plenty of storage, and a nice large bathroom. The open-air hallways in our wing provided plenty of fresh air. I had a wonderful stay, in large part because I was able to secure a room on a high floor, where the view over the park is spectacular. The rooms on the lower floors are a bit noisier and do not have such great views. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating and the neighborhood was lovely. I will definitely book here when I next return to Perth.

Stayed for two nights, and it was wonderful! The room was cozy, bed was comfy, and the buffet breakfast every morning was delicious. Huge props for the amount of gluten free options available! Hazel and the staff were also very lovely and helpful.
Fantastic stay. Hubby and I recently stayed at Crown Towers (Perth) and both agreed that the attentive service that we received at The Westin was miles better from the front office, bar, food & beverage team at Garum and the friendly concierge. Loved everything about the Alex, but as usual, it was the people that made the real difference... Cool and "hip", but unpretentious and very comfortable. Probably one of the best locations I've ever experienced in a hotel, with great restaurants one block away and great museums one block in the other direction. Will be back!
