I stayed a week and at first was a little shocked when I arrived since it was not your traditional hotel. Except for the cleaning staff, there is no physical person on sight. Except for a grocery store, there was no access to restaurants or food. There was a microwave and fridge which I used or eating breakfast or dinner was put of the question. We were blown away at how great this place was. It is so super wonderful. It is a great boutique hotel! The breakfast was amazing. The room was VERY comfortable! I highly recommend this spot!

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great price. Rooms, although small were very clean and practical. Very convenient to public transport to and out of down-town Essen. Excellent restaurant close by, at walking distance, I would recommend- 'Zur Alten Post', Ernestinenstrase 31, traditional German fare. No credit cards in the restaurant.

The service at this location is excellent. The rooms are not fancy, but the price performance is great. The beds were comfortable enough and everything was clean. The pullout bed on the sofa was not the most comfortable but for a few days it was ok. There was ample free parking on the street in the area. We would stay here again!

We loved our 3-night stay. Our room was small and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Everything was clean and orderly. Our TV stopped working and was immediately replaced. The breakfast was great - the absolutely best scrambled eggs we have eaten at a hotel breakfast! Lots of fresh food choices. The hotel was near the locations we wanted to visit. Underground parking worked fine. Thank you for a great stay!

Hotel is at a very central location of Wuppertal, close to great shopping, and good restaurants as well as pubs! The area seems to be safe for walking around after hours, with a kiosk close by for shopping some snacks and drinks even at late hours. The hotel is rather newly renovated from ground up with great level of details (dual elevators, lobby bar based on self service, breakfast bar etc.). The onsite parking is defintely helpful for people staying at central hotel, but even the train...
