"Lovely hotel in great location within Cáceres old town and overlooking a plaza. Lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as all local attractions. Hotel itself is an old Palacio so very atmospheric but stairs to contend with for some rooms if you have bags but staff very helpful.

Friendly welcome at reception. Good size room with the all important comfortable bed and a good shower. The bar is a good size with friendly and efficient bar staff. Good tapas. We also had a meal in the evening, fish, very nice. Also, good pool and lounge area. This was our 2nd stay, no doubt, we will stay again"

We have stayed here on many occasions and it is always a very enjoyable experience. The staff are super friendly and they always go the extra mile to help their guests. The food is always spectacular and the area around the pool and the grounds in general is well maintained. As we travel with our pet dog, the extensive grounds are particularly appealing to us. As very pleasant stay and we cannot wait to come back
In the beautifully preserved UNESCO village of Caceres, this parador commands a top notch location just off one of the main plazas. This hotel is definitely a 5 Star hotel!! While not in walking distance of the old part of the city, it is a short drive away and there is plenty of cheap parking. Only complaint about the hotel s was the thermostats. They seemed to have a mind of their own... We had two rooms and neither one functioned as expected. Easily solved by opening the beautiful giant windows
Rather than a misunderstanding that the receptionists did not explain us well about the limit of the 6 persons using the SPA (We understood that one should reserve only by rooms for 45 minutes), everything else was excellent, the decoration, the cleanness of the room and especially the breakfast which worths to pay for it.
At their bar/restaurant our only complaint was that we ordered Risotto with Salmon but the risotto was just 5 or 6 spoons. The portion was very small so we decided to dine...
Palacio de Oquendo means Oquendo's palace--enough said--it is a high-end property. Check-in was flawless. Our room was a short stairway up; they offered to carry our bags to our room. Every thing was great. Just make sure you point your GPS to the parking garage, not the hotel. Once you've parked, use a map or your phone to guide you through a few narrow streets to the plaza where the hotel is located.
This hotel was a great find that made our vacation a comfortable and memorable one. The room and the decoration of the hotel was warm and welcoming, and everything provided in the room was in great condition. In addition, the staff were really friendly and helpful on giving recommendations. Location-wise, the hotel was surrounded by shops and restaurants, and in close proximity to plaza mayor and the old town.
