One of our favorite hotel experiences ever!! The hotel itself is understated luxury with subtle mid century decor and elements. The pool and spa with additional indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and gym were beautiful and really were a huge perk. My husband and I only stayed one night here — we wish we could have stayed longer! Our comfortable room had a large terrace overlooking the Douro River, there is a nice swimming pool on the property and the views are beautiful! The included breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the dinner we had there was quite good. This is a family-owned place and the owner’s son Paolo, who is the manager, was very welcoming and kind. We would return!
