They have notes posted everywhere that there's a to-do list but those showers need done immediately. All that needs done is to swap out the rain shower head with a nice WaterPik shower head and it would fix that issue. Right now it is so high up that it blasts you in the face. If you're above 6 foot anyway. Also, things aren't exactly handicap accessible. The rooms need lamps that are either touch sensitive, or at the very least have toggle switches. Also, the door knobs to get into the room need to be lever handles. Much of this can be paid for through the Americans with Disabilities Act. Finally, the comforter needed cleaned badly. There were dirt specks all over the white sheets. The staff is always great when I stay there though, and they truly have turned this place around.

I’ve stay in small motels throughout Kansas and beyond for decades. This was the best of the best! It’s clear the owner takes pride in what they offer, it’s reflected in everything from the furnishings, cleanliness and how well equipped the room is for all your needs. Comfortable bed, a nice touch of surprises that go above and beyond. Of course I’d stay again!

An oasis slightly off the beaten path and a change from sterile (and more expensive) chain hotels. Quaint, comfortable. And in a small town and if you pick the right day you can go to an old-fashioned drive-in or just go to Pete's Place. Living the life in a vintage motel!

This was a fantastic stay for us. We had the queen suite and absolutely loved it! It was comfortable, cozy, definitely had bed and breakfast level of comfort. We got a basket of snacks, which was a huge plus since we were starving after a day of hiking. The staff was super friendly and helpful! I love that it's a family owned place rather than a big chain. We are already planning out next trip to the area and will definitely stay again!

This place is unbelievably clean, comfortable, and unique. The rooms are spotless and decorated very nicely. Feels like home. The lady that runs the place is so nice and makes sure you’re taken care of. Customer care is something you just don’t find anymore…. On a long road trip and started to get sleepy so I looked at what was available nearby. So lucky to find this place! Excellent communication, cute little town, friendly woman at the café a stone’s throw away. The people who run this place are family and you can tell they put a lot of pride and care into the place. Most rooms are dog friendly, and they are very accommodating in that regard as well, even giving treats. Five stars!
