Native Bankside is in a fantastic location, and I’d be happy to return — but there are a few things I hope they improve.
Shower (1/5) – Very low water pressure and surprisingly difficult to get cold water in August. A better shower experience would make a big difference.
Toilet (0/5) – The square toilet seat is awkward and uncomfortable. A change here would be greatly appreciated.
Bed (2/5) – Extremely firm. If there were an option for a softer mattress or topper, it would be much more comfortable.
Kitchen (4/5) – Well-equipped with dishwasher, water boiler, stove, and clothes washer. One of the highlights of the stay.
Wardrobe (4/5) – Spacious with iron and board, but oddly facing the bed. A second wardrobe in the hallway for coats and shoes would be more practical.
Concierge (1/5) – When I asked for directions to the nearest pharmacy, they didn’t know. A little more local knowledge at the desk would go a long way.
If you’re not staying more than 10 days, I wouldn’t recommend it — we stayed for 5 days and barely took advantage of the room. That said, I wish our trip had been longer, because the location and amenities have great potential if you have time to settle in and make full use of them.
Overall, I enjoyed my time here, and with a few improvements, Native Bankside could go from “good” to “fantastic.”
