It's a very pleasant room, but it's more of an AirBnB than a hotel. There's no concierge - you let yourself in. I got there a bit early (15 minutes), and the room wasn't ready yet but the person cleaning let me put my bags in the room, which was kind. I came back after half an hour, and it was still not quite ready. Wasn't sure what to do with the key, so left it in the room. The room was good, and the bed comfortable. The faucet on the sink in the little kitchenette area needs to be tightened, a lightbulb over the sink in the bathroom needs to be replaced, and the hose for the shower head really needs to be scrubbed. Minor things. But the location is excellent (very close to the coach station at Gloucester Green and basically centre city), and its an excellent value. Would recommend.

It’s very central and convenient for setting Oxford on foot. Nicely renovated room, quiet at night even though it was a Saturday. Slight hitch with the code to get in but this was resolved with a phone call.

Insecure door locks; Exterior door to build not lockable, access key in lock box unnecessary. Same key code to interior access and individual rooms. Presumably all 3 rooms are keyed the same. No way to lock interior room from inside. In house phone was plugged into wall but missing power supply making it non functional. Extremely steep and dangerous stairs for bringing in luggage. If you were alone and fell, it could be a while before you were discovered. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but the general tone of this review will remain harsh because of managements lack of attention to security and their unresponsiveness. Upon reserving room are notified that registration is remote and you will have to register via remote Google form for which no link is provided. Their phone number is not answered, giving a error which I interpreted as the number was non functional. Their email address bounced. Messages through hotels.com went unanswered. I spent a good part of previous day worried about accessing property. I did register concerns with Hotel.com noting that a listing with them implied an endorsement. The room itself was comfortable and pleasant once settled in. I will however avoid this place in the future.

Henry's location off the main traffic streets but easily walkable to all points makes it the perfect location. The building is very secure. Just know our unit was up many steps and no lift, but we would definitely stay here again.

My room was spacious and well-equipped, and the hotel is in a terrific location - quiet and convenient for everything. My stay couldn't have been better. I will definitely base myself here again next time I'm in Oxford.

There was a lack of communication on how to access the property. We had to call to get the instructions from the number that was on the door and they didn’t seem aware that we had even booked. We’ve finished our stay and there is still no response to our messages. Wi-Fi wasn’t working. The cleanliness could be improved (moldy food left in the fridge and cobwebs). On a positive note, it was in a great location in town. However, it is important to be aware that overnight parking is expensive in Oxford.

We enjoyed our stay at Henry's very much. The room was clean, well kept and convenient to the central part of Oxford. There are only 4 rooms, and no desk or staff on site, but we called the number with questions and a real person answered and was very helpful. This stay was close to the train station and very centrally located for touring Oxford or finding good pubs.

Great location and OK accommodation.

Henry's location is excellent. And the accommodation is OK. It's a bit tired around the edges (mould in the shower, windows not cleaned for several years, etc.) But OK. We missed the little things, like not being able to store our bags anywhere safe.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We got the third level room and it was nice and served its purpose. My only complaint with the room was that the bathroom absolutely reeked of mold. Other than that, the location was great, very walkable, and we enjoyed our stay (other than the terrible mold smell).

Fab place - we loved it

We loved our stay here - very nicely furnished and lots of extras to make the stay both comfortable and seamless - hairdryer, iron/ironing board, fridge, wine glasses, bottle opener, coffee maker, table and chairs - really well thought about. If it can be improved in nay way it would be to have just slightly longer shower screen so that you don't soak the bathroom floor so much! In all, a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Great central location, no parking mind but we used the "just park" app and parked on somebody's driveway for £36 for two nights, just a seven-minute walk away.
